I noticed another behavior with dromotica on android : without using it (cannot connect in https too), it take 6-8% of battery! Is it normal?

It is because Dromotica tries to refresh the temperature values all day long, even if the temperature screen is not visible :(

Hi guys,

Just received a message from the developer of the iOS app telling me that the update of Domoticz to 1.2014 has broken the login for both our apps when using the login method. We've contacted the domoticz developers to ask what has changed. Will keep you posted :-)

Hi.
I am using danffos live connect with domoticz. On web interface I can control temperature with our any problem.
But in dromotica when I go to utilities I can see the thermostat with the current temperature but I can not change it. There is a field to choose the new temperature but it does nothing. Further more on the bottom of the screen there is a notification showing up every 5 sec

"thermostat set to 4.578\u00B0"

Lucky for me it does not set this value.

Can you please look in to this problem?

The Android app has updated this morning. My oppinion it looks worse then before. I liked the soft touch skin before.
The Login problem with the login page enabled still not works.

First, thank you for your great application.
It makes reading rooms temperatures and driving my heating system very easy :)

I just noticed something: the application use much more data than it should (more than 40 MB by months).

I found the reason: even when I quit the application (for example with the "Return" button), the temperatures keeps updating in background. The application is trying to connect to domoticz server all day long, even if it is not visible on the phone.

Would it be possible to fix that?

Thank you very much :)
This problem has disappeared in the new Android application release :)

The way Domoticz handles logins has completely been redone. So I need to reverse engineer that and then build the new login system into Dromotica. That will take some time.

I can not say the same thing...

I am now monitoring my data usage on my phone for this app but i was chocked to see is was 250mb for 3 weeks. Even when you shutdown the app it still refreshes data... I updated the app 3 days before and the date usage still rises.

Is this a know problem?

I'll see what I can find but it's not normal. The app used 202kb of data for me over the last couple of days. In the beginning Domoticz didn't support gzip encoding and then the app used a lot of data but that has been build in to Domoticz months ago and data usage drop to 10ths of what it was without gzip.

Same here, no problem with data usage, I've only used 200k over the past few days.

Because it was no known error I uninstalled the app from my phone this morning.
After that I installed it again. At the first launch i needed to configure the app as usual.

When I look at my data usage now it has used 27,20Kb for about 6 hours idle.

Looks like the reinstall has fixed my problem.

Thanks.

No more battery draining with the new version. Nice.
And HTTPS with proxy works well too.
And improvment idea : dashboards to group devices.
I have a lot of devices and displaying all of them in only one screen is not the best useness.

Hello Sebas,
I use your dromotica app for a long time. I want to tell you some things I experience. Not very important.
1. I have solar panels, when the sun shines, I use less energy then is generated, energy feeds back to the grid. In Domoticz webinterface I see a negative value on the P1 energy meter. In Dromotica shows 0 kwh, not negative.
Delivery shows total delivery value, not the current delivery.
2. My utility screen keeps refreshing every few seconds. Then it jumps back to the top. Sometimes I just want to keep an eye on the values, without scrolling down every few seconds.
3. I cannot change the setpoint of my thermostat (opentherm gateway). I can choose a setpoint, but not apply it.
4. When scrolling through the utility screen, dromotica keeps saying 'Thermostat set to 4.578\u00B0' It doesn't do anything, just a message on the screen.

Many thanks for this great app!!
