KAKU APIR 2150
I feel like I've come a long way sinds my last post. Last post I asked how to create extra 'else if' in blocky. Seems funny now. I have about 35 electrical apliences hooked up to my rfxrts433xl, hooked up to a rasp. pi. Everything works through wall switches whih we never use, our phones, some remotes and my personal favourite; google mini. When entering hall, front door hall, or kitchen one of the two PIR's located their will detect you immidiatly and turn the lights on. Through virtual swithes it is kept on until you have left the room. When entering the toilet a door contact tells domoticz to turn the light on, as well as a virtual light. If the door is opened again (with the virtual light still on) the light is turned off. this works well about 95% of the time. In 5% of the time I have to guess in which direction to releave myself. Not good enough!!! As the PIR's have given me very good and stable results I desided to add a PIR in the toilet which would also turn the light on. Two days ago I got the chance to buy a KAKU APIR2150 at halve price. I am a big fan off KAKU . I use to use home easy but everytime one broke I replaced it with KAKU. As home easy equipment doesn't last it didnt take long to replace everything. anyway, I didnt have a KAKU PIR yet but it gave me confidence. Although all other PIR's in the house work fine the APIR2150 isn't doing its job properly. The signall is only received by the RFXcom occasionally. I mean maybe once in 30 times. Maybe even less. I did manage to learn it in eventually. It's lightning 2, AC protocoll, ID code 1e3b542. I have checked in RFXmngr and the signal is usually not identified. Anyone got any suggestions how to get this damn thing to communicate with the RFXcom properly?

When you say “the signal is not identified”, you mean you see some data which is not readable or is there nothing at all? It seems to me that if you could learn it to Domoticz it would be identified every single time. I use 2 of these pir’s myself and it works fine. If you see no data at all, check the time period set in the pir.

Re: KAKU APIR 2150
Thanks for the replies. Funny thing is it works occasionally. And ocassionally no data at all. I think maybe next step is to try and learn it in directly to a kaku receiver and see how that goes. And yes, I did set it to 5 seconds........ Just tried to learn it in to a sheap device that alway reacts on everything. Didnt catch it. then I tried it on a KAKU device. works flawlessly. I wonder what this thing is sending our that nothing but KAKU itself can catch.

Re: KAKU APIR 2150 (SOLVED!)
OK. SOLVED. Let me explain what I did for the next guy in trouble. I have the RFXtrx433XL. My firmware was 1027. I updated the firmware to firmware 1041 and this soled the problem. Scary shit though, this updating.
