Philio Zwave PSP05-D not working

Post by AllesVanZelf »

Hello,
I just bought this Motion detection device. It is a Philio PHIE-PSP05-D
It should work on domoticz. Hestia in this post has got it working.

Including in the zwave network went well:
Image

And I can see 5 different devices:
Image

In the log of 3 of these devices I see a real time update. But the 'Light bulb' icons do not change. 2 are always on and 2 are always off.

Do I miss a setting? Can anyone help me with this device? Hestia maybe?

Hi
I use this device and when I said it works, it is that it could trigger something when I go thru it and it is outside (under something) and not dead
What I can see from your post is that you could have the light on which is a start.
It is true that I only use the feature: to trigger something, after I have a script that turn the light off.
In my case I've also noted that the light bulb doesn't go off ; perhaps you could change some settings in the configuration.
Anyway, as you have Domoticz you could write a script that turn the light after a delay after the last trigger of your PIR.
Or you could use this generic script to do it https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... 72&t=23717
Hope this help!

While the log shows a time update, the switch is not triggered.
2 switches are always ON and 2 are always OFF.
So I could not use the switches to trigger something else. I assume this is a bug or a broken device.
Could you show me your configuration page of this device? Like 'basic level', '3. PIR sensitivity', and so on.

I found on a blog that it could be a solution to change parameter 7 to value 22. link (in dutch)
I changed this 7th parameter and now the switch goes on and off, as it should. Burglar switch does not work yet.
From the manual I do not understand this parameter and value. Is there another, better value for this parameter 7?

What Domoticz version do you have?

Could you try this script with all your device created to check what happen?

Code: Select all

local LIGHTS = {521, 583, 478,608}

return {
    logging = {
	level = domoticz.LOG_DEBUG,
	marker = 'TRIGGERED'
	},
	on = {
		devices = LIGHTS
	},
	execute = function(dz, device)

	--	dz.log('Device ' .. device.id .. ' ' .. device.name .. ' ' ..  device.state, dz.LOG_DEBUG)
		dz.log('Device ' .. device.id .. ' ' .. device.name , dz.LOG_DEBUG)
		--device.dump()
end
}
You need to change the idx with yours: 1419, 1420... and use your PIR

@Hestia, What does this script do?

I have motion sensor working well now. If there is motion detected, the 'switch-light-bulb-icon'changes to On also.
But burglardetection is not working.

I found out how the parameter 7 settings are set.
parameter 7 has 8 bit's - Bit 0 - Bit 7. setting 22 means in binary = 00010110

Code: Select all

Bit 0: Reserve.
Bit 1: Enable sending motion OFF report (0:Disable, 1:Enable). Note: Depends on the Bit4, 0: Report Notification CC, Type: 0x07, Event: 0xFE 1: Sensor Binary Report, Type: 0x0C, Value: 0x00.
Bit 2: Enable PIR super sensitivity mode (0:Disable, 1:Enable).
Bit 3: Reserve.
Bit 4: Notification Type (0: Notification Report, 1: Sensor Binary Report).
Bit 5: Disable Multi CC in auto report (1:Disable, 0:Enable).
Bit 6: Disable to report battery state when the device triggered (1:Disable, 0:Enable)
Bit 7: Reserve.
I am not familiar with binary codes, so I used this site to convert them to decimal. The decimal value is entered in domoticz/ozw configuration parameter 7 of this Philio device.

I tried a lot off combinations. With some settings burglar sensor is working, but motion not, and others Motion is working, but burglar not. I have not found a combination where both sensors are working. unfortunately! :(
Maybe someone else?

the script is able to switch off your light a delay after the last motion detection
sorry, I don't use burglar detection. Any trigger is ok for me because I use a script after
I'm not sure your issue is relative to Domoticz, but more to the sensor

It is a setting issue. The binary of parameter 7 has to be set in the right way.
Switching of the light is not an issue to me. Switching off lights is well done in Blockly.
I meant the icon, of the switch, when talking about light-bulb-icon. I changed this icon to another icon now.

It would be great if burglar detection is also working on this Philio psp05-d
But thanks for your thoughts on this issue Hestia

It's an old topic, but I wanted to share my recent experience anyway since I think it can be helpful.
First of all, modifying setting 7 to 22 did not work for me. It stopped detecting at all, so I changed it back to 4. Note that by default the sensor has a 24 hour wakeup time and since I installed the device in an hard to reach place, I had to wait quite some hours for the changes to be picked up by the device... twice :)

However what did work for me is:
- Use the default device settings
- Add the switch device with an ID ending with "35" - this one stays ON forever, but new "On" signals do come in when motion is detected
- Change the settings of the device (via the Switches tab) -> Set an Off delay, e.g. of (for instance) 60 seconds.

What happens is that Domoticz sets the switch value to OFF after 60 seconds that the ON came in. This means that every new motion detection will come in as a new ON trigger. It works exactly as I want now. Also, I also can now easily see in the device log chart when the motion detector was ON = when there was someone walking by.

I hope this helps!

This is certainly an old post :D
I had some time ago a lot of trouble with openzwave and version 2020.1 etc. I totally reinstalled everything.
Now I am on: Version: 2020.2 (build 12230)
Since then This Philio is just working.
In my case, device : 00011E00 is the motion sensor, which does switch On and Off again, and device: 0009001E is the burglar detection. also working.
parameter 7 is set to default: 4.
Not sure where and in what version of domoticz or openzwave this was fixed.

Strange enough I suddenly have problems with this Philio psp05 Zwave device.
It is not working anymore.
On motion the switch goes on, and stays on. Not possible to switch it back.
I tried parameter 7 (customer function) switch to 4 and 22, both without result.

Does someone know a better Zigbee or Zwave device for outside? Not too big.
I also have a Neo Coolcam NAS-PD01Z Battery Powered PIR Sensor+ , this one is hanging outside under a roof/covering. Is there possibly a zigbee alternative to this?
