RFlink learn device issues

Hi all i have the RFlink R48 running with my domoticz server

it seems that it can see any switch i push and can be used to trigger using that, but it seems unable to replicate those actions
Ive never had any luck with it

i have a basic 4 button RF remote, which ive done the following

pushed the learn button in domoticz, pressed the button on the remote, and seen the icon appear in domoticz... i have set it as a push on button
however when i push the button in domoticz i get the following error in the logs

2019-07-18 22:20:13.301 Error: RFLink: Error/Unknown command received!...

is this expected behaviour or have i missed something in configuring my setup

You can not control Keeloq devices.
They are "receive only".

Ahhhh fair enough. Ahhh well I will now just have to look into placing a relay on the gate unit to control it
