Hi,
I have Z-wave-ified my garage, which is not within radio range from the home. Fortunately, I have installed an ethernet connection, so I could set-up a dedicated domoticz server in the garage.
However, after one month using it, I find that the slave/master domoticz configuration is quite a hassle. You need to keep both updated, backup, manage devices on both, etc etc...
So I wonder whether it's possible to use a ZWave dongle remotely over ser2net. This shouldn't be a problem, but what about having 2 dongles configured with openzwave? Does this work?
Thanks!
Using two ZWave dongles, one USB, one over ser2net

It will not work. Openzwave, and even more domoticz, does not keep properly track of the homeid for each id. As a result you can not control 2 zwave networks using the same domoticz instance.

That’s not entirely correct. OZW will work with multiple networks. The HomeID is integral to most of our API.
I can’t speak If Domoticz supports this tho.

Your knowledge of OZW of course far exceeds mine, so I will take your word for this and take that part of my answer back. For Domoticz however there is currently no support for multiple homeid's other than OP's existing duplicate domoticz instance configuration.
