Since update (beta) doorsensors not working

Post by EastXIII »

Hello,

I had an issue where my doorsensors (Neo Coolcam) did not respond anymore. I excluded the nodes and included them again.
This helped, everything worked fine untill the next update. No I have to exclude/include them again.
I only have this issue with the doorsensors, my multisensor and all other devices work like a charm.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks in advance!

Developers are working in the Beta channel to get OZW 1.6 stable in Domoticz. This might take some time so if you want to have a stable situation for installations with Zwave stuff you probably want to stay on your current version until the dust settles down and OZW is stable again.

There was a major change in the meter command class that needed the cache file to be deleted.
You need to refresh the node information for non-powered node's (and sometimes for powered as well)
I do not expect this to happen again, but can't tell the feature.

Thanks! I’m not updating for now. Got it working again. One sensor needed te be reincluded. The other sensor worked after refreshing the node info.
Thanks again!

Hi gizmocuz
"that needed the cache file to be deleted"
could you explain please? the cache on the browser or another one?

refresh the node information"
what is it?
the + on the Status (Heal node)
or
Request current stored values from device

sorry for trivial questions and thanks again for the great job :-)

Hi waaren
"Developers are working in the Beta channel to get OZW 1.6 stable in Domoticz. This might take some time"
I understand that work is ongoing. Do you mean that we shouldn't open any topics on issues regarding the last betas?
If not when could we knew when our issues are fixed and/or OZW is stable again?
For the record, the last stable release didn't fix bugs that occurred on a previous a beta, so it's been a long time with issues regarding my z-wave devices... and I only have z-wave devices :-(
Nevertheless, it seems that there are some progress
Thanks for you help again

@hestia Thanks for asking and sorry for not being more clear on this.
What I tried to say with this remark is that if your home automation system is depending on a stable running domoticz system and you can't really afford long system- or device outages, you probably want to be extra careful when updating your domoticz system and take extra care in making proper backups that could bring you back to your previous situation relatively easy and quick if you encounter problems.
Of course people working the OZW stuff do want to know if something is not working as it should but please make sure that you searched and read both the forum and GitHub issue tracker to prevent opening new topics for issues already known.
If you do think the issue is not reported before and you open a topic on the forum then please comply with the forum rules. So ensure you are on the latest stable or latest Beta.
Same applies for an issue on GitHub but in most cases posting on the forum first is the preferred method.

Hope this clarifies and please note that this is just based on my experience and lots of reading on the forum and on the domoticz GitHub area.
