Hi,
I want to buy, MCO Home – termostat MH7 Water Heating Thermostat, works with the domoticz software? Or recommend something else? I want to regulate room temperature, wireless.
I got it:
- raspberry pi 2 Model B V1.1
-Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5, Z-Wave Plus USB (I'm still waiting for delivery)
-fibaro switch 2 FGS-213 for valve on/off.
- MCO Home – termostat MH7? (I have not ordered yet).
For starters, I would just like to regulate room temperature, wireless.
thanks,
Fatk

Re: room thermostat MCO Home – termostat MH7
Hi Fatk,
I also have this thermostat. I think it's fine and works good enough. However:
- you have to edit the manufacturer_specific.xml ( domoticz/Config)
- also you have to create a 'mh7h.xml' file in the mco directory (/domoticz/Config/mcohome)
(see: https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/issues/1685 here it is described what you need to change / edit / copy).
The mco will work fine then. However. In domoticz there is an issue with 1 of the command classes that are being used. In my logs it mentions:
OpenZWave: Unhandled class: 0x42 (THERMOSTAT OPERATING STATE)
This implies that a change of the operating state is not handled properly. Therefor: integration isn't that perfectly within domoticz and can't be used the way you probably (at least I) would want it. I noticed the last couple of days that there are other domo systems which seem to have a good integration (but have other flaws in general).
As far as I could find, this issue is still open within domoticz. (https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20837, https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25324 and some more).
I have no other experience with other thermostats.
