rfxcom in bootloader mode

raspi with ubuntu 18.04 and latest domoticz beta.
Connecting rfxcom to windows I can flash it and see a lot of traffic.
Connecting to raspberry seems fine, until I start domoticz.
Then the red light comes on, indicating the module is in bootloader mode.
no in or outgoing traffic possible. Stopping domoticz will make the light go out.
can I conclude the problem is in domoticz? and how to fix it?

solved.
reset usb port, flash firmware immediately after that. start flash within 1 second. (before rfxcom goes to bootloader mode again)
After that everything working again
