Hi All!
I just bought for test/evaluation Neo Coolcam Light Switch. Nice design, but I have two issues that bother me. Maybe some user can help ...
1. I did not connect the switch to the network yet, just using it stand alone. But is there a configuration that allow to turn off the backlight? It is quite strong i.e. for sleeping.
2. More importantly, when operating the switch manually, whenever you press the button, there is 1 second delay. Can this be configured/changes? I guess this is not standard feature of z-wace switches.
Thanks in advance for help!
Tom

Re: Neo Coolcam Light Switch
Hi Tom,
Below you'll find the configuration of a Coolcam switch:
1. Send Meter Report:
This parameter defines Disable/Enable meter report measure data to controller.
2. Meter Report Interval:
This parameter defines interval time (in seconds) that Meter report data to main controller.
3. Configure maximum over-load current:
This parameter defines maximum current (in Amperes) the plug can provide to load that be connected to plug. If the current consumed by load is greater than maximum current, the plug will cut off power, and send NOTIFICATION_EVENT_POWER_MANAGEMENT_OVER_LOAD_DETECTED to associated devices in lifeline. Red Led will blink every seconds until current is normal (less than Parameter #3). You must remove the loader and turn on the Plug (press the button once) to enable current monitor and clear NOTIFICATION ALARM. This parameter value must be great than #4. If user set this parameter to default by Configure CC, the parameter #4 will be set to default value.
4. Configure maximum Alarm current:
This parameter defines maximum current (in Amperes), if the current plug provide to load is greater than this parameter, the plug will send over-current notification to the controller and the LED will turn RED, but plug cannot cut-off power. This parameter value must be less than parameter #3. If user set this parameter to default by Configure CC, the parameter #3 will be set to default value.
5. Led Display:
This parameter defines the LED indication Function ON/OFF. If disabled, then LED indication Function and will always be turn-off, while enabled means LED Function is on.
6. Configure power report:
This parameter defines by how much power consumed must change to be reported to the Z-Wave Controller or Z-Wave Gateway, in percents. If the rate of power consumed change ratio is greater than this parameter, the plug will report the results, voltage, current, power and energy, that plug measure to Z-Wave Controller or Z-Wave Gateway
7. Remember Relay ON/OFF status:
This parameter defined the relay status if remember or not. If remembered, the plug will restore the relay status last power off when the plug supply power next time.
8. Configure Plug Time switch Function:
This parameter defines the timer function Enable/Disable. If disabled, then time switch function is not available. The time period will be defined in parameter #9. If enabled, and when turn the plug relay on, the timer in plug start run with time period defined in parameter #9 and the plug will turn the relay off.
9. Configure Time switch Period:
This parameter defines the time period that plug time switch off. This parameter can be configured 1 - 65535(in minutes). If Parameter #8 is enabled, and relay is turn-on, the relay will be turn-off after delay this parameter.
10. Button On/Off:
This parameter defines the button on/off function is enabled or not on the top of the wall plug. If enabled, users can turn on and off the wall plug by pressing the button on the top of the wall plug. If disabled, the wall plug cannot be turned on and off by pressing the button.

Re: Neo Coolcam Light Switch
Hi There,
I am not sure, but I think you might be talking about wall plug. What I am referring to is the following image:
It has annoying feature (I think it is impossible to get rid of it) - I take 1 second to turn light on when pressing the button.
Any other users find it annoying?
Best regards,
Tom

Re: Neo Coolcam Light Switch
If you connect/add it to your Z-wave network you will find a setting to turn it off. Set option 3. Relay On/Off Indicate: to enable. Then confirm and that blue light is off.

Neo Coolcam Switch control blue and red LED
I've bought them past December for our bedroom and the blue LED is to bright. So for the curtain controller and the 2 channel switch the parameter to enable/disable the blue LED is well documented in the manual. But for the 1 channel switch it is not. I found the parameter myself. So to complete this topic here they come.
Blue LED:
1 channel switch: Parameter 2 - 0=disabled - 1=enabled
2 channel switch: Parameter 1 - 0=disabled - 1=enabled
Curtain switch: Parameter 3 - 0=disabled - 1=enabled
Red LED:
1 channel switch: Parameter 3 - 0=disabled - 1=enabled
2 channel switch: Parameter 2 - 0=disabled - 1=enabled
Curtain switch: Parameter 4 - 0=disabled - 1=enabled
Hope that it help others too.
