Is your skill able to do that? I'll try and get it set up later today. Are there any necessary naming conventions for devices?

Ideally I want to able to say "Alexa, turn the sitting room stat down by 2 deg and ignore the wife, even if she screams at you to turn it up."
I am also facing same issue "Alexa" not able to read my Sensor values or maybe I didn't know the right wake up commands to trigger Alexa to read my sonsors

HA-Bridge emulates Philips Hue light system and is not able to read for example temperature. As I can see Controlicz is the only proper option, but without exposing Domoticz to the internet it won't work. I am trying to find a way around. I could pay my ISP, but for the sake of 'just doing that without asking him' - still researching

Hi - can i ask, is the issue of exposing Domoticz to the internet a security one, or something else?

There is an aggressive timeout for device discovery. It's been a while since I last paid attention but I seem to recall having to play some tricks to make discovery faster. Is the invocation timing out? Check the CloudWatch logs for your Lambda function and see what's happening...

The lambda cloudWatch show nothing except my last text from lambda to domoticz. There is no logs for trying to connect from alexa to lambda

check the trigger from the skill to the lambda is enabled - try deploying it to a lambda in Virginia. If the code works directly from the lambda, but not from Alexa or the app, then it's the skill, not the lambda.

Yes the app is working from lambda to domoticz. Skill is not working from alexa to lambda and I don't know why :( The config is as in your pdf maybe something was changed already

can you try running it from Virginia and removing references to the Ireland lambda?

Dear all,

Since i quit Controlicz, i started to look for different solutions...
Ha-bridge is OK but the skill seems better to me and i successfully installed it following instructions from this post.
=> https://github.com/madgeni/alexa_domo

However the skill is based on Amazon Smarthome API v2 which is still available @AWS but deprecated.
Has anyone tried or succeeded in transforming the skill in v3 Amazon Smarthome API ?

Thanks & Regards

Hello everyone, I started today to use controlicz with echo dot 3rd gen and domoticz, but something does not work.
alexa is able to correctly find all the devices present in domoticz, but they do not communicate.
The application tells me that the devices do not respond and therefore I can not control anything.
can someone help me? What can I do to understand what the problem is?
thank you

Hi!

It works great. Less funcionality than the pay controlicz version, but for me is enough.

Thank you Madgeni for your hard work, youre great!

Greetings from spain.

I'm a new Domoticz bridge user, and from my Alexa app on my phone I can switch things on and off (and this appears in the log), but when I talk to my Echo Dot nothing happens (and nothing in the logs..) - any idea what may be the problem. May be a co-incidence, but my Lightwave RF Alexa skill has stopped working too.
