Power reading for solarpanels

Post by Marcel458 »

I would like to setup a page in Domoticz from where I can read the power for each solarpanel. The data is in a MySQL database (provided by a datalogger capturing data from SolarEdge).
I already have a local monitoring website using PHP to display each panel, but like to have it in one place and that is Domoticz.
What is the best way to start (for a newby in Domoticz). I have some programming skills in Python.
Domoticz V3.8926 running on CentOS 7 64, Dell 1950 Server, used for Hue, SolarEdge and Smart meter ;)

Hi Marcel,

What do you have running for local server and PHP database?
Is it this topic in Tweakers forum?

If so, it would also be interessted into making a page in Domoticz showing these values.

With your php skills send the power info per json command (see domoticz wiki) to a virtual energy device.
Create a floor plan in domoticz (I used a drawing of the layout of my solar panels) and put the virtual devices on it for a graphical representation.
