Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi Nick,
I've send you an e-mail from my controlicz account a few days ago (eric**@van********.com), hoping you can answer it. I know your busy, so in the mean time maybe someone here will know.
I'm trying to use Controlicz with my Google Home mini. I've created the Controlicz account, filled in all Domoticz data and can see all my devices on controlicz.com. When I add Controlicz in the Google home app, I'm taken to a login screen for Controlicz, give permission to google for full control. Then I see a success message (page) followed by a small popup saying 'something went wrong, try again later'. Controlicz is not added to my device.
I've tried on my iPhone 7 (ios 12) and my iPad 2 (ios 7?), both with the same result. I've tried the same on Google Assistant (trough the web interface) and there it's possible to link the accounts, but not through the Google App, which is needed for the Google Home mini.
Do you or does anybody have an idea on how to continue? I've bought the GH mini specifically for this.
Thanks and best regards,
Eric

I think you need to pay first before you can have successful connection.
I had the same think then i paid for it and it connected just fine

Or better, when I say "Set blind to 10%" I get:but the blinds fully open (if they're closed) or stay open (if they're already open).2018-10-01 00:29:13.909 Status: User: controlicz initiated a switch command (169/Tapparella Sala/Set Level)
I synced, and tried again. Now it works.
I think that the % works reversed, I mean: if I say "Set blinds to 10%" GH replies with "Setting the brightness of blinds at 10%", but being an inverted blind it's almost open (open at 90%).
Probably, from a philosophical point of view, it should be reversed.
Thanks for implementing this feature!

Hi Madgeni,
It seems that Dutch is added to the Google Home app but the commands aren't understand yet. Do you have to do something to activate the Dutch language?
Regards, Rob

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi Rob,
Google Assistent has been available in dutch for a while, but it didn't support home control in the dutch language. It seems GH doesn't support it either. I also can't get GH to play a movie from netflix when I give the command in dutch. It will work with the english command. I'm guessing functionality in GH is the same as it was on GA (for dutch language at least). GH will be launched on the 24th, so I'm hoping home control will be added then...
Oh, please let me know if I'm wrong, I'm also waiting for this feature
Edit: Just did a quick check by adding Philips Hue to Google Home. I can control the light using the app, but not by using voice commands. I get the message that I did not select a music service. So I guess home control is not available in dutch yet.
Best regards,
Eric

If I say "schakel bank aan" that works. If I say "schakel kast aan" it doesn't.

Hi Madgeni,
I got error on add "Controlicz" app in google home app (ghome mini).
Subscribed on monthly for testing.
Also another issue - ECONNRESET on "Devices" page, sometimes is ok after refresh.

Hi there, sorry you're having issues.
ECONNRESET means the other side of the TCP conversation abruptly closed its end of the connection, in this instance this would be your Domoticz (or potentially a networking issue causing a break).
If you mail me from your Controlicz profile, i'll take a look for you

In english “Cast” is reserved for playing content on a Chromecast. So you will need to use another name or alias for your kast.schulpr wrote:If I say "schakel bank aan" that works. If I say "schakel kast aan" it doesn't.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
To help in troubleshooting you could ask something like “which lights are on” or “which lights are on in the living room “ to see if google has access to your kast light. Temporarily changing the assistant to English can also help finding out what goes wrong. If you changed the name in Domoticz you need to sync your devises again.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Does it show up as a device? If so, that's a good start. the error it gives back can sometimes be an indication of the problem Google has with the command - as HarR says, there are clearly some protected words/phrases Google has (there's no list!) - so use the Controlicz: rename in Domoticz device description to amend it quickly can be a way around it.
Dutch language support is clearly imminent - purely as I was allowed to certify Controlicz for it. It was rejected for Spanish some time ago, as it was a language they don't support yet.
As soon as Home Controls is available, it should start working, but would still expect some bumps as Google work out language controls etc

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
i'm trying to add Controlicz to my Google Home mini. Therefor i have created an account with controlicz.com which i'm trying to use.
When i choose add device Controlicz, and try to login, I get a question to give google 'full access' to my controlicz account. When i click Allow it gives a message that it cannot update the settings, and that i hae to check the internet connection.
How can i solve this?
