Can i double check here - if a blind is listed in Domoticz as inverted - On = Open, Off = Close. If it's not inverted, On = Close, Off = Open?

Controlicz device :

Code: Select all

IDX	Name Alias Type Current State/Data	Google/Alexa
36	Volet Cuisine	Volet Cuisine	Light/Switch	Closed Blind
Voice command :
Ok google, close the blind cuisine
Domoticz log :
2018-08-27 19:56:29.173 Status: User: Controlicz initiated a switch command (36/Volet Cuisine/On)

Sorry, to clear this up, but in Domoticz, is On = Open, or Close?

I understood Blinds to be like this in Domoticz:
Device.Type = Blinds - On = close, Off = open
Device.Type = Blinds Inverted - On = open, Off = close

Is that wrong?

In domoticz :

Switch type : switch/ blinds inverted
Closed blind button tooltip : "Close the blinds"
When I click on the Closed blind button shows a label : "Switch off" brief message
Log says :
Status: User: Admin initiated a switch command (36/Volet Cuisine/Off)
edit : maybe you should always issue ON command for open and OFF to close whatever the blind type inverted or not. The inversion is in domoticz internals to drive the hardware.

@Madgeni,
any news on the implementation of the inverted blinds?
Mine are inverted, but Controlicz currently sees them as "Blind".

Thanks,

Clearly there's a difference in opinion of blinds users!
@mantoz - can you sync your devices, and try again?

@Madgeni,
I'm currently having some problems synchronizing my devices. Google Home lights (rotating leds) but I have no reply/feedback from it.
I assume that for some reason it's not able to synch the devices (no change in Controlicz). This has been happening for the whole afternoon here.
No problems on my fiber connection...maybe a software glitch somewhere.
I'll try later.

@Madgeni:
Performed some additional tests in order to give you a general view of the issue.

Being not sure if the synch worked, I removed the Controlicz account and the relinked it.
Apparently nothing changed, the behavior is the same as before:
In Controlicz, blinds still appears as "Blind" (I assume they should be listed as "Inverted blinds" maybe?) and when I ask to "switch off the blinds" they open, and when to "switch on the blinds" they close.

"Switch off the blind" -->
2018-08-31 23:20:09.883 Status: User: controlicz initiated a switch command (169/Tapparella Sala/Off)
--> and the blind opens

"Switch on the blind" -->
2018-08-31 23:21:06.368 Status: User: controlicz initiated a switch command (169/Tapparella Sala/On)
--> and the blind closes

In addition, setting a level seems to be somehow broken (Set level to xx% fully opens the blind if it's not already open, does nothing otherwise).

"Set blind to 70%" -->
2018-08-31 23:24:19.526 Status: User: controlicz initiated a switch command (169/Tapparella Sala/Set Level)
--> and the blind fully opens if it was closed, or does nothing if it was fully open

Again, my blinds are all configured as "Inverted blinds" in domoticz 4.9866.

Thanks,
mantoz

Hi Madgeni,

I've got an issue again with the way contrlicz or Domotics handels a command on my Google Home. Could also be GH ofcourse.

Turning on the TV issues about 20 commands on GH and it should be just 1.
3 rooms in Domotics, 3 rooms in GH:

1 - Lights (6)
The attachment Lights.jpg is no longer available
2 - Audio/Video (12)
The attachment Audio-Video.jpg is no longer available
3 - TV/Radio channels (19)
Lights.jpg
Lights.jpg (46.7 KiB) Viewed 1706 times
Can you help me set this straight plz? If I need to change something in Domoticz let me know!

Thanx in @vance!

I wonder if TV is a protected word in Google Home - can you rename it? You can do this in Domoticz, using the device description:
type - Controlicz: then a new name, and then 'sync my devices' and try again?

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place, but maybe you can help.

I've setup Controlicz and it works great.
When i first said (in dutch) "Turn the lights on", Google said there where no lights setup, and opened up some kind of settings page. Here i could add the lights to rooms.
Now when i ask to turn on the lights, all the lights get turned on. Or all get turned off. I can't seem te seperate it by rooms.
And other thing, where is that room setup page? I have added some extra lights to Controlicz that i want to add to another room.
But i'm unable to find that room-settings page for a few days :(

It looks real promising, but i want to use the rooms too, in dutch :)
Thanks in advance

@Madgeni,
do you have any update on the issue below please?

Should I see "Inverted blind" in controlicz.com ?

TV is Television now. All working fine Madgeni. Strange how this works but you did it again! Many thanx,

Hi guys,

So i just starting playing around with this. But for some reason only 4 of my applicances show up in Controlicz.
I have bought a monthly sub because i thought it might have something to do with that, but that didnt help.

Now what do i do?

Just got your email - make sure your Domoticz user has access to the devices (edit users>set devices), and the devices/Scenes are in a Room Plan

Hi,
Adding a Google Home to the configuration made "Home-apparaten bedienen" option available in the Google Home app, so that is where i can find the rooms now. So that's sorted.

But another question:
When i make a new switch available for the Controlicz-user in my Domoticz, how do i get it in the Google Home App? Don't see a "refresh devices" anywhere.
Remove and re-add the Controlicz link works, but i don't want to have to setup everything again when i add a new switch.
Thanks

Yep, as soon as the Home Controls functionality is available, it will work - Controlicz is already certified for Dutch.

We have just gotten google assistant in Swedish here in Sweden and I just finished setting up an account at controllicz.com. The install seems to be working and I can see my devices etc but in google home the "explore" button does nothing for me. I press it and absolutely nothing happens. Have tried to reinstall google app, empty cache etc. Seems like google assistant is quite limited in Swedish as of now, is it possible that home automation feature of google assistant is not enabled somehow for Swedish yet?
