Full Screen Browser Android Tablet
Hi,
I'm trying to run my dashboard in a full screen browser (Chrome) on an Android tablet.
But with each full web page refresh it will go back to the normal view.
Basically I have to click full screen again, several times each day.
Do anyone have a solution to this problem?
Can I avoid the web page resfresh?
Can I force dashtic to enter full screen mode?
Can I implent a scheduled task that restart the web browser in to full screeen?
Suggestions?
Cheers

I made a shortcut on the desktop, when I open that it goes to full screen everytime. Only problem I encounter, if I make changes in dashticz I need to remove and make a new shortcut to see the changes

Re: Full Screen Browser Android Tablet
i'm not happy with fully kiosk, the app crashes all time when dashticz is open on it. I cannot figure out what the problem is. If I use a clean install of dashticz even this will crash the browser.
Some people has the same problem ?

Which Dashticz version are you using? Try with a recent beta.

For me Fully Kiosk is very stable. Which Android version do you have? Dashticz works with the default browser on the tablet?

Re: Full Screen Browser Android Tablet
I have a Samsung (sm-t580)
Android 7,0
I sended an e-mail to fully kiosk support and theu gave me the advice to install chrome beta and select the android web view of chrome beta in the develop options. But still the problem exist.
I tested also with a clean install of dashticz without any buttons, just blank and it also crashes. Did an reinstall of the tablet also no solution.
Do I need to install another browser? Or?

Samsung/Android 7 should work. Did you already try with the default browser (or Chrome) instead of Fully Kiosk?

Re: Full Screen Browser Android Tablet
Tested this on the Chrome browser and after a while there Will be a timeout
It says there is a problem to display this site. If you see this notification a lot then try these things
I tried this dashticz website on Domoticz server even on a hosted local Apache server. Same problem

Re: Full Screen Browser Android Tablet
The browser crashes at least once per hour its so frustrating if you dont know where to find the problem.
I also opent the link on a windows pc and no crashes apears. Has to be something with android, android browser ?
this is what i get from fully kios support :
-----
Hello
please upgrade the Fully Kiosk app to the latest 1.27.1.
99.9% of crashes happen in the Android Webview. This is a part of your Android system and unfortunately completely out of our control. Even if we knew what causes the crash it would be impossible to fix it. As you can see in the Chromium Bugtracker it has >50000 known issues open: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/list
Can you reproduce the crash? How do you see that Fully Kiosk crashed?
Please look in the Developer Options on your device. What it the Webview Implementation selected? Can you change it? Try installing Google Chrome beta and select it.

Hi
Tnx for your quick answer!
I have updated to the latest version : 1.27.1
Can you reproduce the crash? How do you see that Fully Kiosk crashed?
I can't reproduce the crash, it's just a website that runs continously and communicates with some websites, camera's internal and the domoticz.
I have also the same issue on another browser on the android tablet.
I will check your steps provided in your reply:
lease look in the Developer Options on your device. What it the Webview Implementation selected? Can you change it? Try installing Google Chrome beta and select it.

Hi
Installed chrome beta and did your steps, but still the browser crashes:
are there any other steps to do?
-------
Hello,
thank you for testing. I'm not sure if we can do anything even if we know what/where exactly it crashes. But if you want to see the Android log you can install Android Studio, create an empty project, connect your device via USB and enable ADB in developer settings on the device. Try to reproduce the crash and see in the Logcat what happens. Usually where is a lot of log output there and you have to use the filters to see anything.
Your Samsung SM-T580 device is very common, so I'm pretty sure the issue is in combination of your website with the Webview on your device. Otherwise I would have many many bug reports.
------
So is someone familiar with this problem ?
