I'm a subscriber.
Could you add the things under scenario too?
Present to Google Home as an ordinary light switch. On and off. Like I have one for window light on that I would like to be able to control by voice.

Hi - Scenes (Scenarios) can be added - just make sure the 'Scene' (Scenario?) Active Menu is enabled for your User in Domoticz.

I can't see them.
Also, they are not in the list where I could select devices for the user in Domoticz.

Edit: oh! They have to be in a room plan. I don't think my other devices is but they show up anyway. So, reading the thread made it a little more clear. Created a new room and added the scene/group and now I see it. Thanks! Going to read the faq now.

Hi there,

I am testing Controlicz now there is a Dutch Google Assistant. But when I want to add controlicz as a service in the Google assistant this is all I see:

With other services you see a button where you can alter the settings.

some days ago controlling my lights via controlicz stopped working. Didn't pay much attention but later on tried to figure out what the problem was. Unfortunately my rpi didn't boot anymore and I decided to reinstall it. After some work and putting back the domoticz database, everything worked again except Controlicz.
I now found out that you changed from a donation to a subscription model. Too bad for me, but will pay. I have made a donation in the past, but I can imagine that the amount of donations are not very significant compared to a monthly fee. I can understand some money being charged for professional software and hosting like this!

My controlicz account is now changed to a free subscription model. I have not paid yet, but is anything supposed to work with the free subscription? After pressing the test-button on the Controlicz site it says everything is fine. I cannot however add the Controlicz account in the google home app. After approving the full access the app just says it couldn't update the setting. Do you know what the problem is, I have seen this before and I think it started working again without a specific reason?

Controlicz and support for other languages

Post by Lemme »

Soon Google will provide support for the danish language (besides a lot of other languages). When they go live officially, will danish be supported automatically in Controlicz - will it work out of the box?

Or will there be some programming taking place from your side, before Controlicz will work with danish (and the other languages)? And if so, do you have any idea of how long it will take?

Is that my problem to? I can't couple Controlicz in the google assistant as mentioned a couple posts before. I would like to test it first.

Ok,
I have google home mini, public IP address and domoticz at my local network. How do I go about and setup Controlicz? Do I need some special instructions via PM from Madgeni?

Hi -
Domoticz needs to be accessible via https over the internet;
setup a user in Domoticz;
assign devices to a room plan (and assign them devices to the user)

Update your Controlicz profile with:
Hostname; Port; Domoticz username; password
Test your connection + see if your devices are in your Controlicz profile.

Then if you're happy, subscribe, enjoy :)

Hello-

Apologies if this has been asked before. I couldn't find it in the thread. Is it possible to query status of a device, e.g.:
- "Is the bedroom light on?"
- "Is the front door closed?"

Thanks,
Ron

Yes it is - you can also do it by Google Room ("What lights are on in the bedroom") etc.

Just a quick one. Just tried checking the back door (having seen the post above) and 'Is the back door closed?' is not understood but 'Is the back door off?' gets the reply 'The back door is off'

Which is correct but not right, if you see what I mean.

Not important but thought I should mention it.

I am using LightwaveRF door contacts which report open and closed to Domoticz.

Nope, that's a fair comment - open/close are *still* not available yet with GH (they're coming, and Controlicz is ready).

Anyone else expierincing problems with Google Assistent? I cant open the assistent settings, the "compass"button is visible, but nog clickable. Tried it on 4 android devices. Also switching the language from Dutch tot English didn't help.

Update:

I just uninstalled the Google and Assistant app and reinstalled them. After that's i was able tot open the assistant settings, but there is no way to setup Controlicz...

I would like to protect my Domoticz from the outside world and opening the HTTPS port sounds good but not for me.
Can you provide me from where Controlicz is coming eg. IP's?
