Cannot get Fibaro FGS-223 Association to work

Post by ArnoutZ »

I have three Fibaro FGS-223 double swithces in my bedroom. If I press the second switch on the wall (Node:034) I want the first Switch of Node 036 to also switch on.
In the Fibaro manual I see that Group 4 is the group connected to the second switch. My conclusion was that I should add 36 to Group 4 of Node 034 but this does not seem to work.
See my network and group diagram below. I also added 36.1 and 36.2 to Group 4 just to see if that would work but sofar no luck.
What am I doing wrong?

Go to the settings for node 34 and check parameters 36 and 37. these control the command for groups 4 and 5 On(36) and Off(37).
I have my parameter 36 set as 255 (full on) and parameter 37 set as 0 (off). If you control a non dimming device (another double relay) the value should be 255 for switching on.

Thanks for the tip. I checked both values, but they are as you specified: Parameter 36 has value 255 and Parameter 37 is set to 0. These are the default values and I never touched them.

Perhaps as a work around you can use a dummy switch as an intermediate to achieve your goal. This dummy switch then controls your end device.

True. As an alternative I have written a script which turns on the light if the wall switch is pressed, but this solution is a bit slow. As the devices are all in the same room I think the direct connection by using association would be the best solution but sofar I have not been able to get it to work.

By the way, is it true that I should use 36.1 for switching channel 1 and 36.2 for channel 2?
What happens if I just enter 36 in the group association?
