Wireless sensors

Post by denver »

I am after retro fitting door, window and flood sensors around the home, as I need a few what would be the best way to go. Prices for these sensors seem to range tremendously so looking at a cheeper option. Any ideas, I would be grateful.

I use 2 Sgooway doorsensors. They are working nice. Do not know the battery life. Just have them up and running a couple of weeks.

Flood sensors

But battery life is very bad, so I do not recomment these.

What 433 system do you use? Is it the RF link ?

While the price is cheap enough, still like to know before the order :-)

Yes, RFLink r48 with a PI as stated below my posts :D

Btw, these are open only door contacts. So you get a message when opened, not when closed.

THanks for the info...

I was enthousiastic by price but not anymore when you wrote "open" only.

I like to check the door status....

Thanks!

Why would these not register when the door is closed?

that is why they are "cheap". the hardware does not support it. and also battery life is very short.
