Trying to connect to controlicz (Synology NAS)

I have a short question about Controlicz. To give some additional context...

I have:
- A Synology NAS that runs the latest release of Domoticz
- I bought the Domoticz application from the Appstore that runs fine on my Smartphone (port forwarding on router is enabled)
- I made a registration at the Controlicz website and filled in the same configuration settings as the Domoticz app on my smartphone (IP-address and port; username and password)
- I created rooms and scene's in Domoticz and added devices

When I click " Test connection" on the Controlicz website, I only get a message --> "Check you connection setup". Nothing more or less.
My question is: Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a manual available for Controlicz?

Hi Hans - can you make sure you're using SSL?
Apparently you need to activate automatic https routing in the network settings in DSM.

If you mail me from your Controlicz profile, i'll see what the logs say

Thank you for your quick reply. I don't use SSL on my Synology. I didn't know that this was a prerequisite.
I will check this weekend how to enable SSL on my diskstation (6.0) and I will come back to you as soon as possible.
Unfortunately I cannot send you an e-mail from your website because it automatically starts MS Outlook (I use webmail).

Thank you for this great initiative and I hope that I get this functionality working.

In your Synology, Control Panel>Network>DSM Settings>Automatically redirect http connections to https

Hi Madgeni,

Everything works now. I like to make one remark: On your website the instructions for Google home are not valid anymore.
I think that Google Home updated their app. The options are now under Settings --> Home Control

i also have a synology and experiencing the same problems. I have activated SSL but does not work. Any ideas?

No, not from my side. I quit with Controlicz, because its not free of use anymore. I more like a open source user (principle).
