Switch UI is not updating after a command is sent

Post by tre4bax »

Just managed to get Domoticz up and running on Linux (Ubuntu 1804). It all seems to be working well, however there is one wrinkle.

If I go to the switches tab an turn a light off. It says switching off and the light goes off, however the item does not change. The icon stays with the lamp looking on and if I click it again rather than switching on it will again say Switching off. If I refresh the page the switch comes up with the expected off icon and from here the reverse happens I can switch it on but not off again.

I have tried turning it off and waiting for an update however it never updates.

I have also turned it off then swapped to Dashboard/tab and back to switches tab (which is extremly rapid) at which point everything is updated and I can turn it on again.

Because of the speed of the redraw of tabs etc. it feels like this could be some form of misconfiguration. Has anyone ever seen it before?

Hmmm, Just discovered this appears to be an error with the way the icon functions as a switch.

My lights are lightwave RF with dimmers. If I move the dimmer then the display updates. When I slide from 100% to 0% the icon goes to the off state and the light is off. If I then push the button to on it will turn on however the icon will stay in the off state. Pushing the button then does nothing however moving the slider to 100% turns it on and sets the Icon to the on state. It will then turn off again.

This suggests the system is working and updating correctly however the code for the button is slightly broken. The version number I have showing is 3.9560. Which is strange as this is neither the current stable nor the latest beta. Presumably it picks all this up from the git pulls in the build process. I did literally follow step by step through the wiki instructions.
