DzVents updates

Hi little helpers

Working on dzVents 2.4.1. on domoticz beta 3.9390.
Would it be possible to upgrade to dzVents latest version (think 2.4.6.) by just grabbing the files from github and copy them in my dzVents folder?
Or would I have to update to latest available domoticz beta?

Please don't !
It might (and probably will) break stuff in places where you would least expect it (or if you expect that it will break stuff at most places you are probably right )

So I better update only together with domoticz version.

Yes, more often than not, dzVents and Domoticz go hand in hand. For instance, dzVents 2.4.6 that has just been merged into the current beta uses a new property that is passed from Domoticz to dzVents. If you use 2.4.6 with an older version of Domoticz this property is not available and dzVents will break. Scrips won't run.

DzVents gives domoticz another highly competitive feature! With this combination you created something others do not have. I came from the Fibaro HC and that was already good in scripting flexibility but domoticz with dzVents is another level!
