Hi,
I am running Domoticz 3.8914 on Windows 7, it's working just fine. However today I installed Python latest stable at first but downgraded to 3.5.4 as I read others more successful on previous versions. In the log Python starts ok as it looks and plugin system Enters work loop.
I tried to run Moon Phases plug in and Mikrotik plugin but both gives the same type of error:
Error: PluginList: Parsing 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Domoticz\plugins\MoonPhases\', 'Error document empty.' at line 0 column 0 in XML ''.
I read that in Linux you have to give rights to the plugin.py file but in Windows this should not be an issue? Anyway I checked the rights, it looks like SYSTEM have all rights, or what should I check for?
Many thanks in advance!

Can you post the file (or a link to it)?

Hi Dnpwwo,
Thank you for asking, sorry what file do you think of? Both plugin.py (mikrotik and moonphases) files was downloaded from each github project and copied to the ...\plugins\mikrotik vs. moonphases folders.
I followed the Python install guide for Windows, but after that the wiki did not give any details for the plugin install under Windows.
I will try to provide you what is needed to sort it out

Hmmm, ok I beleive there is files missing in the plugins folders... I thougt only the plugin.py was needed for each function but of course it is many times also follows icons etc.
The Wiki however don't tell how Windows users installs plugins from github projects, anyone willing to help?
Thanks!

Re: Python - on Windows 7
You can just download the .zip file from the github (Under Clone or Download button) and open it under plugins folder.
plugins/mikrotik/plugin.py
plugins/mikrotik/icons.zip
plugins/mikrotik/README.md
etc.
Btw, the error sounds like even the plugin.py is not downloaded properly (an empty .txt file?)
