Xiaomi Gateway Lux Update Script

I would like to set my Xiaomi Gateway lux to update every couple of seconds, so that it would show (kinda) real-time information about the lighting. Would anybody be willing to help me?

I don't quite get you. Isn't the lux sensor in the Gateway updated if the amount of light getting to it changes ?

Yes it does update, but does so very slowly. The changes in lux can be read after a couple of minutes or so.
