Hi All,
I am a relative noob with domoticz and have just installed it on a RasPi2.
As hardware I use (among others) a RFXCom device to receive temperature sensors combined with humidity. I noticed that the sensor changes its ID when the battery is changed.
Is there any way to avoid it as being defined as a new sensor (I want to continu the measurement serie I have)? This is not a problem from Domoticz, it is due to the sensor that changes its ID.
Maybe I did not search the forum well, but I couldn't find any suggestion how to avoid this.
Best regards.

No, but you can move your old sensor data to the new ID.Umberto wrote: Saturday 03 March 2018 10:23 Is there any way to avoid it as being defined as a new sensor (I want to continu the measurement serie I have)? This is not a problem from Domoticz, it is due to the sensor that changes its ID.

Re: RFXcom sensor ID changes
Hi SweetPants,
Thx for your very fast answer. I will give it a try. Sorry that I missed your reference. I will give it a try the next couple of days (when the batteries have died). I knew it is due to the sensors, but didn't know how to avoid the loss of data. Many thanks again.
