system alive checker

Post by DaWauZ »

I have several devices on the system alive checker, to turn a switch on or off.
But there is no clear manual for this. I would like to know how I have to set a device, who's network connection is going quick off, to stay "longer on"
so the virtual switch is not so quick off.
Do I have to increase the timeout of the device I am pinging, or the poll interval or the ping timeout of the sysem alive checker?

Hi,

actually I am thinking about the same issue.

Normally you can extend the on time by configuring the delay off time within the virtual switch, e.g adding 300 seconds for a 5 minute delay. But unfortunately for me it is not working in latest stable. Perhaps you could try.
Furthermore the question is: does this time start from beginning when ne ping was successful. I think no, but this would be the best option for me.

Kind regards
Matty.
