TKBHome TZ55 question

Post by tontze »

Hi !

I just received my TKBHome TZ55 z-wave light switch. Works pretty well, except, it has long response time ..

Can this be configuring issue, or is it just bad design (sends z-wave signals first and after receiving response, turns lights on) ?
In domoticz under hardware setup, it doesnt seem to have any configuration options.. ? It says "Wenzhou TKB Control System Unknown: type=0311, id=0201" So does it really have support in OZwave ?

Also, when you turn it off from domoticz, it really doesnt go off, you need to push again to set it off. Domoticz seems to know this, lights go off, but light switch icon in domoticz doesnt go off, needs second click to set it off. All this is mentioned in the operating manual. I just dont get it, why is it like this ?

And if someone is thinking to buy one of these .. They are plastic and bulky, and as i said, slow to use(if its not config prob).

Apparently there is no configuration file yet. Perhaps that is the reason for the incorrect response.

Also, it is not exactly a cheap device, maybe get a Fibaro/Qubino etc device the next time.

Does fibaro/Qubino have EU in-wall switch ? With the rocker buttons and mains wiring ?

No but they have in wall dimmers and relays you can connect to regular wall switches.

yes i have few of those too. Suprisingly, i got answer from manufacturer, they said response time is usually fast, 1-2 seconds. "fast" LOL :)

The response time is largely determined by the controller, not by the Z-Wave device itself.
