HI All,
I have a home alarm system installed (risco prosys). the system is equiped with (multiple) motion/heat detectors in all rooms and i can localize movement everywere in my home. The user-pads provide this information on movement (ie: back door: open or livingroom: movement). The system is only connected to a security control room via a telephone line (via contact ID protocol). This protocol is only initiated when the alarm is triggerd. The control room can tell when and where the alarm was triggered. I was wondering if it is be possible to use my alarm system to detect movement and report this to my domoticz server, so that I can dim or shut down my philips hue, thermostat and music in rooms with no movement for x minutes.
I noticed there is an additional module available. This ACM (https://www.sourcesecurity.com/datashee ... ochure.pdf) communicates over SIA IP protocol. Im, however unsure wether or not this will provide the functionality I want or mayby the information can be extracted from the user pads as is. Since communication will occure over a secure stack, will this impact security for my home alarm system?
I can't find a thread on this forum about connecting alarm systems to domoticsz (and there may be very good reasons for this) and specific SIA-IP protocols. Is there anyone who can provide some information on this? Or has anywone connected a similar alarm system for these purposes, and why should you do/dont do this. What are the risks and vulnerabilities?
Thanks in advance for the responses!!
