Consistently inconsistent? That's suboptimal. What is the behaviour specifically? It's weird that the Nest query tells me it isn't set up

Any update on Sync Devices error?

Thanks

hey - weird as it's working for me. I know you've made some changes your side, I wonder if that's changing domoticz API call behaviour..I'll take a look when I can :)

Hi Nick,

I've done following steps.

- Updated the DDNS service and it now points to the system correctly.
- Updated Domoticz with a fresh SSL certificate.
- Updated the Controlicz interface with a fresh set of username and password.
- Test it by calling "Test connection to Domoticz" which is a success.

Additionally, when I try to sync from Alexa app, it is able to sync correctly.

To test further, I tried to unlink Home Controlicz from Google Assistant. Now when I want to relink it, it does not show me the "[test] Home Controlicz" option. Also, before I unlinked, I was able to control devices even when "Sync Devices" failed.

I very much appreciate your time as we understand that you are doing this for free.

Thanks,
Mayank

Hi Nick,

After waiting for a while, I was able to refresh the "Add Devices" page and link again with "[test] Home Controlicz" and now I'm able to "Sync Devices".

Thanks,

Hey, that's good news. I'm afraid i think the google app is still a little buggy - i'm always happy to accept when it's my code at fault, but in this instance, I think it's them :)

If I query a dummy sensor the reply is "It's currently 22° and the bedroom is off."

Whereas the response for a real sensor is "the bedroom is off and it's currently 22°."

I don't know if that's significant or helpful to you but those replies are consistent for each type of device.

Additionally if I try to query a dummy thermostat in the same room I get the response "Unable to reach the bedroom thermostat."

The only real thermostats that I have are Danfoss z-wave TRVs but when I try to query one of those the response is "Unable to reach the bedroom TRV."

I didn't realise those TRVs didn't work - can you try one, and let me know the iDX, and i'll see what I can do

Hi Madgeni,

I tried to switch other Components, not declared as Lightswitches. I see them in Google home app, but i can not switch them. Google tells me, that it don´t know what to do. These Components are switchable via Domoticz. These are wall plugs like TP Link HS 100 and also RF Plugs Controlled via Sonoff RF-Bridge.

Also i have a Kodi Mediacenter in my Domoticz. It also shoes in my Home App. But how can i control it via Voice/Controlicz?

Hi - i'll take a look at those switches.

Currently Kodi isn't available via Controlicz, i'd certainly like it to be (i'm a Kodi user also), but it's how I can bridge effectively between Domoticz and Controlicz to use the Kodi API, not the Domoticz->Kodi interaction.

OK. Tried again, i changed the RF Plugs in Domotics to Lightswitches. The one with the Bulb Picto. Now they are controllable via Voice and Controlicz. If i change to Generic Switch, Google will not switch it.

Thanks for checking - that's not what you want, as if you issue the command "turn off the kitchen lights" - and you have any of those RF plugs in the Kitchen Room, it will turn those off as well.

I'll look into it

Can you change one of those switches back to 'Generic' image, and try again? I want to see what it's doing

Ok. That was fast.
Generic now works. But wall socket also don´t work.

quick update re: Google testing -
It failed (As you may have gathered) on the Nest implementation - However, this is mostly due to the constraints on the Nest integration with Domoticz, as well as partially how Google API handles queries etc. I've gone back with some recommendations/clarifications - but it's at least in a state where we're talking :)
