Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
OK, after a bit more checking:
LightwaveRF dimmers cause an error when saying 'Set lamp to nn% and require 'Brighten lamp to..' and 'Dim lamp to..' whereas MiLight lamps will work with 'Set lamp to..'
However with both types when asked to 'Brighten lamp to..' or 'Brighten lamp by..' Google responds appropriately but always sets the light to that percentage rather than adjusting in by that percentage.
When asked to 'Dim lamp to..' or Dim lamp by..' now Google answers accordingly but seems to reliably switch the light off.
Although as I said in my previous post, the very first time I requested 'Dim by 10% to the MiLights, which were currently at 100%, I'm sure they did actually dim by that amount.
I know this sounds a bit contradictory and inconsistent but add voice recognition into the mix and it's a bit like trying to diagnose an occasional rattle in a car.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Madgeni,
Thank you for the link, took me a few hours to get it to work but that had to do with my GHM. I moved the GHM to a different room in my house for setting up the link with Controlicz, and in that room it connected to a different AP with the same name.
When I moved the GHM back into the living room BAM it worked first try.
Will have to organise Domoticz a little bit for an extended testdrive.

Hi Madgeni, do you still have some room for a testuser? Because I just registered to the forum, I don't have the right yet to send you a PM at the moment, but lets try to give a hint (my <username> gmail_period_com), just to be clear: g****pater. I've already registered to Controlicz, so I should be "findably" Greatz G

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hey Madgeni i started getting Controlicz is unable to connect - please check your config, it turns out that using reverse proxy with htpasswd is blocking controlicz from communicating with domoticz I was using it as an extra layer for outside access.
How are you guys using or configuring controlicz as far as security and accessing domoticz remotely, are you guys just using port foward with user name and pass word?

@madgeni
Just went to test whether 'Dim by nn%' would work from a lamp who's status was 'On' rather than 'Set Level'.
I found that not only did that work but I can now report that 'Dim by nn%' and 'Brighten by nn%' are now working reliably for both LightwaveRF dimmers and MiLight LED lamps.
Well done sir! (I'm assuming that it's you that must have sorted it)

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Well I think you've got a pretty good chance of that.
Oh... Also 'Set to nn%' now works as well as 'Dim to..' and 'Brighten to..' so I think you should have covered all the possibilities. Good luck and thanks for your perseverance.

You are the man! Work well with the word "white".
I made a funny observation though: I control all devices in German, but for this particular command it only accepts the color in English.
Would you have an idea why that is?
Thanks a lot for all the efforts you put into this.
Best,
Thomas

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Ahaha that would be because I hard coded it to route white through colour, rather than Kelvin. I'm rather ashamed of the hardcoding, but some times you have to. Will add weiß also - update - try now?Tyturion wrote: ↑Sunday 07 January 2018 19:44You are the man! Work well with the word "white".

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
