Pairing power plugs (EMW100)

Post by phyks »

Hi,

I recently bought a RFX433 and came across Domoticz when looking for a nice UI to control devices in my home. First of all, I am not sure where this topic should belong to, Github issues or topic in some subforum here, so I'm really sorry if this is not the right place to post.

I wanted to pair some EMW100 power plugs (basic On/Off 433.92MHz power plug, supported out of the box by the RFX433). I tried quite a lot of things before actually coming across https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... 5&p=165110 and getting some extra infos on the way to pair a power plug with the RFX433.

Actually, I should have expected to be able to go into the "Add light manually" panel, fill-in fields and press "Test" button and get the plug associated. But it seems the "Test" button actually sends an "On" command, whereas it should send a "Group off" command in order to pair the RFX433 and the power plug.

I could not find any place in Domoticz to send a "Group off" command and had to resort to running RfxMngr. I may have missed something, but is this any kind of planned feature to be able to do all of this from within Domoticz directly?

Thanks!

Dont think they are compatible with Rfxcom.

It might not be clear from my first post, but they *are* indeed compatible with RfxCom, I managed to control them from RfxMngr app.
