TheButton/Fibaro & central scene

Post by smartastic »

Hi All,
This central scene thing has been a hot topic since long.
It seems there are now some improvements.
In https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/pull/1125 I read in the last post that it has been implemented in Domoticz.
I use on a testsystem beta version 8015.
Indeed, the button gets included. I only see 1 switch however, and it gets triggered by every possible push of thebutton: 1 time, long, 3 times, etc.
When I see in the OZW log howver, I see this:
2017-07-02 22:18:15.241 Info, Node058, Received Central Scene set from node 58: scene id=1 with key Attribute 3. Sending event notification.
2017-07-02 22:18:30.660 Info, Node058, Received Central Scene set from node 58: scene id=1 with key Attribute 0. Sending event notification.
The Attribute reflects perfectly the type of push (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, hold and realease).
I also read http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... 24&t=13327 where it is suggested to write a script to parse the logfile. But that is bypassing the 'good' solution.
Q: Is there a permanent solution coming up in Domoticz where several (7) switches will be visible and those will correspond to the #pushed of thebutton? Or maybe there is something I'm not doing entirely correct?
Thanks a lot!!!

Hi! I suggested writing the script. However, I see Gizmocuz mentioned it is implemented in domoticz. In fact, the log you posted is different than what I was seeing in previous domoticz OZW logs. I am not at home now but I will check tomorrow. I currrently use jeedom as it is working there and I link jeedom to domoticz using a plugin. Even if the switches are not created, could you try to get the values via LUA? Try to write a simple script and check. Let's see.

Maybe you could also try to create a manual switch by clicking on Learn Switch and then push the button?! For my OCTAN remote this is how I added the switches...

Learn Switch kind of worked. I was only able to add single click. 2, 3 or 4 clicks does not work. Not long press either.
Also, the button seems to only send "on", not "off". I can only see on in the switch log.

Hello Gang...

Need to reactivate this subject since I am trying to add the Fibaro Button as well. It was found after inclusion but....
I got 5 switches and one "general alarm" in the device list for this hardware. Set all of them to "use" in device list.
Then nothing.
No matter what I do with the Fibaro Button (one press, more presses, short, long etc.) nothing is happening in the controllers log.

Any suggestions anyone? :)

thanks a lot in advance.
