Delete a device
Hi,
I want to remove a device completely: if I remove it via the Hardware tab, the device is removed but its values still show up in the Device tab.
How can I clean up, without messing with the sqlite DB directly?
Thanks,
Stephan

Do you mean you can delete devices from this screen?

Oh thank you! I didn't notice the trash can at the top!
It's a weird place to put it, IMHO.
But anyway, thank you!

Re: Delete a device
Just found this thread by googling how to delete a device. Let me just add my two cents that this is a terrible UI design. In no other app, ever, do you look in the column header for a delete button!

Don't complain, contribute. If you are not happy with the design then add your 'two cents' to the project.atatistcheff wrote: ↑Friday 29 December 2017 20:17 Just found this thread by googling how to delete a device. You are right of course. Just frustrated with the UI in the heat of the moment. Domoticz is a great community supported project.

Re: Delete a device
As a Domoticz user for years I have looked for a way to delete devices.
I agree, terrible UI design. At least now i know.
Complaining is my my contribution

Re: Delete a device
In a list view it is quite normal to have the options above the check column. In this case you can check on multiple devices and delete them in one go.
Other option: Go to the device tab, Click on edit ==> Remove Device. Just like that. PoC

Re: Delete a device
On the delete subject - how do I UNdelete a device?
I have deleted a RFLink device, that I now would like to UNdelete - is that possible and how?
Thanks!

Re: Delete a device
Not possible, if you delete it it's gone forever and you have to re-create it. Would be nice to have sort of recycle bin, but that is not easy to implement if you also want to recycle all RFLink hardware and associated devices
Re: Delete a device
This question is really answered using google and forum, not one’s eyes.
Not intuitive UI placement. Please, replace it with a labeled button “Delete” someday.
