Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
I'm having some trouble setting up Controlicz.
So far I've opened the Google actions page, pressed 'Start Testing', selected the 'Actions on Google - Version 2'. In the home app under add devices the 'test home controlicz' shows up in the list. It opens a page for approval, but after approving I get the error: "Couldn't update the setting, please check your connection".
What can I do to fix this?

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi Madgeni,
I tried to test the connection to my domoticz from my profile on Controlicz.com, but it always fails with the following message: "Controlicz is unable to connect - please check your config" ;-(
Could you please have a look on your side to see what the problem could be ?
Edit: it seems that no user/password is provided during the testing request...
Thanks in advance,
T.

Hi - can you check the account you've entered in Controlicz has access to your Domoticz? - i've added a test connection button to the Profile pageElmardus wrote: ↑Friday 15 December 2017 15:09 I'm having some trouble setting up Controlicz.

yep, test is not working as expected! Can you just double check your username/password, Controlicz is getting an authentication error

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi Madgeni,
My nginx logs say:
1xx.xxx.xxx.xxx - - [15/Dec/2017:16:51:03 +0100] "OPTIONS /json.htm?type=command¶m=getversion HTTP/2.0" 401 590 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.84 Safari/537.36"
and
no user/password was provided for basic authentication, client: 1xx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: xxx.xxx.xxx, request: "OPTIONS /json.htm?type=command¶m=getversion HTTP/2.0", host: "xxx.xxx.xxx:8443"
The first log does not contain any login, contrary to user requests. That's what is surprising me...
Any idea about this behavior ?

yep, it's 'normal' i think. Don't blame me, it seems that getversion call is unauthenticated..

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
no problem
well... with a colleague, we made a test within his Controlicz account. His connection test also uses the getVersion request, but he has a user specified in the log related to the request. But I don't... ???

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Everything seems to work after all. @Madgeni thanks for all your help so far!
Initially received the "Couldn't update settings. Please check your connection." when linking my account in the Google Home app while it did not link Controlicz. This morning I casually checked my Home app, just to find out it had somehow linked my Controlicz and had synced my devices. Since then I have unlinked Controlicz once and succesfully re-linked it. Devices appear in the Home app; I can control my devices and query the status of my lights and temperature sensors.
There's two things left that I am wondering about:

There's two things left that I am wondering about:
- The dreaded "Couldn't update settings. Please check your connection." message: It keeps appearing 99% of the times when I link devices to rooms. Funny thing is though: It does link the devices. Even when I hit " Discard" in the app. Any ideas what is going wrong here?
- I added one group in Domoticz to a room plan called Groups. This group does not seem to sync though. It cannot be added to the list of devices for the specific user I use for Controlicz. I noticed that another device did sync with the "sync my devices" command from Google Assistant. I thought groups were also supposed to sync to Home. In Nginx I noticed the command to query for all devices does not include the groups though: /json.htm?type=devices&filter=all&used=true&order=Name

Hi - i'm afraid I can't control any of those "Couldn't update settings" errors, they sit firmly with the Google apps.jeroenvanpelt wrote: ↑Saturday 16 December 2017 13:45 Everything seems to work after all. @Madgeni thanks for all your help so far!

My setup uses Domoticz with Nginx to enable HTTPS.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Figured out the case of the missing groups. One needs to enable the tab "Scenes" _and_ add the groups to a room plan for them to be able to sync through Controlicz.
And, guess I'll have to live with the connection error then.

Glad you worked it out - yes, unless i get some sense from Google, it's firmly with them!jeroenvanpelt wrote: ↑Sunday 17 December 2017 7:12 Figured out the case of the missing groups.
