Schlage Connect suddenly timing out

Hi all, sorry in advance for the n00b question.

I have a new setup using Domoticz on Windows, a Z-Wave.me UZB stick and a Schlage Connect deadbolt (no other components so far).

I successfully got it paired up and working (i.e. I could remotely lock/unlock the door and had it setup to lock on a timer).

A few days go by, and now I seem to have lost connectivity to the lock. I see a steady stream of "OpenZWave: Received timeout notification from HomeID:xxxxxx NodeID:2" (where nodeID 2 is my Schlage). Perhaps coincidentally, this failure seems to have started at about the same time I accidentally triggered the Schlage's built-in "burglar alarm".

I've tried resetting the power on the lock (disconnecting the battery), restarting Domoticz, and deleting/re-adding the lock, to no avail.

For the last one, something interesting happens: I can delete the lock, but when I re-pair it Domoticz seems to think it has succeeded, while the lock give me a red X beepbeepbeep error indicating failure.

I guess it sounds like an issue on the lock side? Any ideas/suggestions short of doing a factory reset on the lock(which I'm trying to avoid so I don't have to reprogram all the PIN codes?)
