Profile Qnect 400W On/Off switch not discovered by Domoticz

Post by vangent410 »

Hi

I'm looking for some help in getting my Profile Qnect 400W On/Off switch to work under Domoticz.

I've use "Add Manual Light/Switch Device" with Device Type = ON/OFF and type = ARC, or AC, or LightwaveRF, etc... - no connection made.
( I push the button on the switch to start discovery - red led starts blinking.
Then I push "Test" button on "Add Manual Light/Switch Device" window, but never a connection is made.

I tried this out with a Klikaanklikuit switch and this worked immediately.

I'm using this Profile Qnect switch because I want to switch my light on/off under Domiticz control but at the same time, I still want to keep the manual wall-switch able to turn the light on/off.
This Qnect has dedicated 2 wires (white) to connect to the old wallswitch to perform this manual function also.

Domoticz version: Version: 3.8143

=> Can anybody give me tips or some help? What am I doing wrong? Is this Profile QNect switch at all usable with Domoticz and 433MHz?

Thanks in advance

If this is a Profile Qnect 423000040 or 423000042:
Use Ext2 firmware and enable Lighting4 and AC in the RFXtrx433E.
The Profile Qnect switch should be received as Kangtai/CoTech, this can also be tested with RFXmngr.

Is the Profile Qnect switch received as Kangtai/CoTech in RFXmngr with Lighting4 and AC enabled?
Note: use Ext2 firmware.

Didn't have time today to test with RFXmgr and RFXtrx433E sender via USB to my laptop...
But I did upload a new EXT2 firmware to Domitcz for my RFXtrx433E connected to my Synology NAS, and made sure that AC and Lighting4 are enabled...

No change....still no connection when trying Add Manual Light/Switch Device via type=AC
I'll do the testing with RFXmngr in weekend

I did the test with RFXmgr and RFXTRX433E connected to my win7 laptop:

Is the Profile Qnect switch received as Kangtai/CoTech in RFXmngr with Lighting4 and AC enabled?
Note: use Ext2 firmware.

Answer: YES...
I see the pairing LED is now on permanently on the Qnect switch.
In Rfxmgr:

Looks like the signal gets nicely seen and handled in RFXTRX433E

So, what is now the next step?
How do I get domoticz to recognize my Qnect Switch when I use ""Add Manual Light/Switch Device"?
Tips?

Installed Domoticz version 3.8153 released (Stable)
I've found in the "release notes" for this 3.8153:
- Implemented: RFXtrx Kangtai / Cotech implemented

Tried again with "Add Manual Light/Switch Device" with Device Type = ON/OFF and type = AC... - no connection made, no switching on Qnect

HI,

As one can read in above thread, the QNect RECEIVER device works perfectly when we simulate a SENDER via RFXmgr and settings:
Lighting5 command
================================================
Packettype = Lighting5
subtype = Kangtai, Cotech
Sequence nbr = 7
ID = 0105 decimal:261
Unit = 11
Command = On
Signal level = 0 -120dBm

How do we create a SENDER device in Domoticz to do the same as the RFXmgr?
Help please on settings in Devices tab....
--- What SWITCH TYPE to use ? ON/OFF?
--- What TYPE to use? AC? ARC? anything esle?
--- Anything else to check? in Hardware -> RTFtrx433E -> Set Mode -> there is Lighting4 and AC activated (also see above in thread)

really need some support here from somebody with experience in Domoticz................ Thanks in advance...

Anybody able to help out here?

I bought a Qnect remote control SENDER (able to switch 4 receivers) and use LEarn Light/Switch to discover when I push "A"=on.
It was discover as a Type="blind".
Now using this new device in domoticz is not triggering the RECEIVE Qnect switch.
Using the remote SENDER control is triggering ON or OFF.

So.....

HELP please...somebody who knows Domoticz protocols
