Hmmm, i can't login at all.
I created a new password but then i still can't login.
I will give it some time and if it isn't fixed then i will give them a call.
I am in the middle of going completely to Eneco while power was from Essent.
So maybe they are busy merging the lot.

that might be the case.

At the moment Toon-less, because it fell from the wall. Tomorrow they will replace it.

See my post on the Toon forum. It was installed with the wrong screws without using plugs and so. Will be repaired tomorrow.

Oh please stop about Brandje (not mistaken with Plantje), he's got so many Toons up his ass he's shitting tiles. He's the very reason I never go to that forum again.

I think many people think the same about brandje... Mr. Know-it-all...

But... next to that, this week my Domoticz was logging in correctly (at least, I didn't got any errors), but I didn't receive any device information. So I try to delete and add the Toon hardware in Domoticz, and I'm back with the errors: "Error: ToonThermostat: Error login!" or "ToonThermostat: Invalid data received, or invalid username/password!"

Getting sick with this... Almost at the point of rooting my Toon (bought it from marktplaats.nl because I have stadswarmte (public heating), and Eneco didn't want to put it on my wall), also because of the additional 1 Euro per month Eneco is going to request for their Toon "Services".

Will give it a few days to just settle. If it doesn't work after some time I will rethink about ending the Toon Service Contract with Eneco and just Root it.

Lol root it, you wont be dissapointed. Just some minor things you miss. But you can install an increasing numver of apps which arent possible on te standard toon.

I've read the various topics about rooting it, and as far as I see it involves opening the Toon. Before you start, if the serial-number starts with 16 it seems almost impossible to hack. Serail-numbers <16 can be hacked. At least, that is my understanding.

It seems like the Toon login errors started yesterday after one of the latest beta releases.

After switching back to the latest stable Domoticz release, all data from Toon is collected again.

You won't find it on this forum. But here you can find the manual. Everything is in there.

@EdwinK, Yes you are right. Open the Toon (easy) and connect via a ftdi usb ttl cable 3,3 v

I must have the new version as it is just installed (brand new) and that is too much work with too many options to go wrong.
I think i will need a second hand for that.

There seem to be more issues where there is a login error so i think it is a bug. I will try downgrading later today.

I went back to 3.8.355 and Toon is working again.
There is for sure a bug that kills http logins.

Did anyone find out what this error is about that Dressie, tlpeter and Martijn85 reported back in August?

Code: Select all

Error: ToonThermostat: retrieveToonState request not successful, restarting..!
I also get this error logged every ~7 minutes even though everything seems to be working. Why would it need restarting? I'm experimenting with Blockly scripts and it looks like my Fibaro smart plugs connected to Toon only report their status at the same interval.

I was looking at it today (to hack my toon) but it feels much to do to get it working (also with domoticz).

Also I'm planning to convert/migrate my Rasp Pi domoticz installation towards my Synology Domoticz. So I tried to gain access to my Eneco Toon by the Domoticz Hardware list, but unfortunately, that didn't worked out well.

Really not sure what to do now. Hacking Toon could be a solution, but feels a bit overkill and also the wife isn't very keen with the idea that I will hack another device in the house...

So... Does somebody has any idea left? I think the connection with the official Toon API won't happen... So is there an alternative?
