Yep I know there is already a Sendheartbeat() topic, http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... 5&start=20, but it is rather old and adding to the discussion a week ago did not get any replies or answers.
So hereby starting a new discussion..

Hello,
Hereby I would very much like to address the heartbeat function from Mysensors again, especially the V_Value option.
As stated in the following link: https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues/1396 according to gizmocuz its not that easy to implement the heartbeat option, some types are implemented. I checked the latest build files and there is no change in the number of handled types. Hereby I would like to plea for an implementation of the Mysensors V_Value option. In my latest project I used a lightning detector. Who will of course only transmit when there is lightning. In between I like to know if my device is still alive (and also avoid the red widget bar (sensor timeout)), and don't have to climb every day to the attic to check on my sensor if it's still alive, so I send a heartbeat with Mysensors, unfortunately Domoticz doesn't handle V_Value heartbeats.

In this case the sensors has 2 childs, lightning distance and lightning intensity, both have to be updated with the "last seen" value.
oh, and related, after a software update I always check my sensors in the setup->hardware tab. Type "MySensors Gateway USB" and clicking on the setup gives me a overview of my Mysensors sensors. And of course there is no last seen value here, and won't be till I either reset my lightning sensor (contaminating the database) or there is actual lightning.
Dear Domoticz team, can you please consider my request, I'm sure there are other builders who can appreciate the implementation.
Thanks for listening
Regards
Frank
