Dear community,
I have been using Domoticz for years now with a Z-stick, all smart things are running on Z-wave protocol.
I recently moved from France to USA and currently rebuilding a new smart home system on a Synology running Domoticz (I was on rpi before).
My question seems very basic but I can assure you I am not finding any solution to it, working today, and can't believe there is nothing out there as simple as an "on-wall switch". There is plenty of choice for in-wall switch or complex remotes or other multitouch on-wall controllers. I am looking for a simple on-wall switch, basic function, running on button battery. I don't really care if it is not z-wave, I could probably add a 433 Mhz controller to the synology besides the z-stick.
I spent days trying to find something. I could only find a Philio smart button, not fully compatible with Domoticz yet and a Aeonlabs WallMote also not fully supported yet.
You probably have an easy answer for my simple question. Thank you in advance ! Nicolas
What are good options for on-wall switches?

Have a look at the xiaomi smart Home products. Great prices, easy domoticz intergration and lots of sensors and off course switches.
So, button wall switches in two versions round and square but also battery operated normal switches single of double. All very high quality and nice design.
Basically you need the hub (around $30) and switches start at around $7.

Re: What are good options for on-wall switches?
Thank you. Does it mean I need a hub between my z-stick and the wall button ? If yes how is it recognized from domoticz ? I d want to trigger specific actions depending on the time of the day and other variables and hence willing to get the push button signal captured by domoticz and then let domoticz initiate actions based on a LUA.
But maybe I am asking things which are not good practices... I don't know...

Ok read a lot about xiaomi looks like it serves my needs well hopefully I won't have trouble make it work. Is there any other valuable gateways to consider ?

Has anyone tried the cheap 433 wallswitches on Aliexpress? Do they work with RFLink for example?

Yeah 433Mhz solutions may be even cheaper and easy to install, but the low cost of the Xiaomi just kills the competition...
