Adding new device support with a different hub's config files?

Post by godomogo »

I added a Securifi Zwave+ USB stick with OpenZWave and am successfully able to discover new devices. Most of my devices are not on the supported list, but I have an Almond+ and all devices are supported to some degree by it. I also have access to all of the configuration files on it.

Can I use these files to add support in Domoticz? If so, where do I start? I've attached a screenshot of some of what's available.

Many thanks...

It looks like the Almond+ also uses OpenZWave.

Looking at the OZW config files, I see that one of my devices has a config file in OZW, but doesn't all work. Namely, I'm not sure which device does what. The device is a Monoprice Z-Wave Plus 4-in-1 Multi-sensor. It is detected as a Vision device, and most certainly is--I believe Zooz devices are also Visions.

Description Manufacturer ID Type
Vision ZP3111 Multisensor 4in1+ Vision 0x2101 0x2021

The Lux and Temp+humidiy devices are obvious becuase they're detected as such, but I can't figure out which one to use for Motion--there are 6 switches, 1 AC and 1 Alarm. So far, I've found three switches that detect motion when set as an on/off switch, but if I change any of them to a motion device none of them show motion detection.

Anyways, I'm just wondering if the Almond files can help me here, but its looking like they might not. Any other pointers on getting devices working would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
