Dimmer controlable with wallswitch

Hi all,

I need you're advice/tips on a dimmer configuration.
Our house has some rotary switches on the wall from Gira (the regular on/off swithes/outlets/dimmers etc.) to control some dimmers.
The dimmers are wallmounted behind the rotary switches as a normal 'not-automated' installation.

What we would like is to replace this configuration with a wireless dimmer working on 433Mhz, controlable through RF-Link, or WiFi/ESPEasy based to dim the lights with Domoticz.
However the wallswitch should work as well to control/dim the lights. The rotary switch would be perfect to re-use, but a pulse-switch is also an option (Gira has these pulse-switches as well).

I have seen the KAKU dimmers which work on existing wallswitches, but as I read from the manual they are not controlable with the wallswitch other then on/off at 100%/0%.

Any ideas on what materials/brands to use? Thanks

KAKU dimmers can be dimmed with the ON/OFF switch.
When OFF, press ON/OFF/ON and the dim sequence starts. When desired setting is reached, press OFF.
When turned on it will go to the dimmed setting.

A big downer with those dimmers, they work on 433MHz. Communication fails on regular base. When the dimmer is on and domoticz thinks it's off, the next ON command from Domoticz is send, the dimmer will start the dim sequence.

I get you on the non-feedback of the Kaku. That's indeed not a solution I can sell here at home.

Perhaps a Z-wave with feedback will be more helpfull in our case. Will dive into it again when I expand with Z-wave in the future.

you can do a dummy thing to bypass this behaviour. For every ON command you send via Domoticz.
Every setting done via Domoticz -> first sent OFF then followed by ON. Repeat that sequence at least twice.
That will also solve the issue when a switch is manual set to ON. As domoticz still thinks it's OFF.

And yes z-wave is the better solution, but a bit more expensive.
