If you have to recover from a disaster (SD corrupted), correct me if I'm wrong, you have to reinstall the same version of Domoticz that was running prior to corruption in order to have the backup DB working

Thanks it is good to know. If the statement I made in the answer to Derik is correct, it would be great that Domoticz provides a repositery of previous versions.

If you can build from source you can download any version you like straight from GitHub by referencing the hash code. If you don't know the hash code you can git clone the current tree and do a repeated git revert HEAD to find the correct version (add 2107 to the result of `git rev-list HEAD --count`).

Indeed, but in case of emergency, it could be quite challenging to most of us to get a working compiled version especially when time is counted to get the system working again. So I think it would be a great relief if such a repositery could be accessed whenever needed.

Just looking at my own build system, I have packages around ~11-12MiB. Quick calculation says a repository such as you are referring to would need around 70GiB per platform.

Indeed. I'm volunteering to offer 300 GiB of disk space and a sftp service with an 200Mb/sec upstream link. Once the necessary environment is in place someone from the dev team could have a write access to make the deposits.
