No, unfortunate not. That would mean I have to mail the app or make it downloadable in some other way. Using the play store it's easier to track which version is send out to beta testers and I can move the beta version to stable much more easier. You don't need to use Google+ after joining the community. It's just so you get access to the beta program.jili wrote:Sebas ?
Is there a way to be beta tester without joining google+ community.
I dont usually use that sort of social app.
For exemple, I'm beta tester of an andrdoid app and didn't need to use google+.
If no choice I will do but prefer not.

You can also have a group of beta testers using google groups, no need to join google plus. I'm using google groups at the moment for an android app I'm building.

Re: Android app
my ap still jumps to the top
If I have to be in the lower switches is very difficult.
Especially when I want to press a button.
I often push the wrong
Maybe it could be? Once adjusted

I experience the same. After a status refresh, it goes back to the top. The current possition is not preserved before the refresh.Derik wrote:my ap still jumps to the top

Re: Android app
When a refresh is done on every category, the screen jump to top of it.
It will be usefully to have the possibility to setup a refresh time or to activate manually.
It's hard for me to tap up or down for roller shutter, can you add space between up and down.
Sometimes, there is big latency between activate a button and the device.
The lights status isn't right all the time.
As I've got many zwave devices in many rooms could you think add rooms as in domoticz interface.
Hope that helps.

Also the other problem is back again, after switching on a dimmer its status goes back to off after a few seconds.
This is the third or fourth time it appears, time for a new update.

Re: Android app
I have some problems with the domotica app and dimmers. Domotica says that the dimmers are off but it isn't, also when I set them to the on position the switch is going back to off while the dimmers are on.
In the past it worked proparly but I don't from which update it isn't working anymore.

Re: Android app
I'm using Domoticz since yesterday. One of the reasons for me to choose Domoticz was your app thats available via the Play store. I LOVE the clean and simple look of it, and i think you should maintain that! Also tried Andromoticz but it is very busy and messy, so ill definitely stick with Dromotica!
I haven't really found bugs yet (which i can't blame myself for) as im still setting everything up and playing around with devices. Im using the app a lot on my phone, but am thinking about getting an additional tablet to mount on the wall for permanent control (then im not depending on my phone only and other people in my house can also control the lights). I do already have some functionality suggestions:
Keep up the good work!

I do already have some functionality suggestions:
- Have tabs at the top or bottom of the screen to quickly switch between the Switches / Scenes / Rooms without having to click on the menu button first (saves a click and is more user friendly for my guests hahaha). This will especially be great for tablets, but i will definitely appreciate it on my phone as well.
- Customize the above mentioned tabs (show/hide). E.g. at this moment i dont have utility sensors, so then i wouldnt like to see those in the tabs.
- Show/hide sensors and switches.
- Change the order of switches/scenes.
- Have different button sizes (small/medium/large). At this moment the normal on/off buttons are too small in my opinion, the ones for the dimmer are a nice size. Its probably because of my phones DPI. See the screenshot below.
Keep up the good work!

Re: Android app
Btw, at this moment I set the order of switches by renaming them in the webapp like "1. ceilling light" and "2. wall light". Then they are also in the order i want them

Re: Android app
Hello,
I am new to domoticz and Domotica as I am just putting in place a domotic env at home using a raspberry and a rfxtrx 433.
Regarding the android app, I am wondering if it's possible to have widgets for the temp sensors (temp + hygro). The updates would need to be done on demand or a value that could be set.
Thanks.

Hello Sebas,
Thanks again for this great apps, could you add the option to authenticate on the websever with a client certificate when accessing from internet.
It would be so great for me to be able to use your apps form outside and stay secure
Thanks

Sebas, are you still working on the app?
Problem of the unreliable dimmers still exists.

Re: Android app
Hi, I've started development again after a busy period. My mailbox is full of requests for devices, processing those will take some time.
The beta testers received an update yesterday with new devices added and a new feature to use NFC tags to toggle scenes and later switches. If all goes well you'll be receiving that update in the coming days.
Thanks for your feedback. I'll take that into consideration.

Is that the dimmer on/off problem described a few posts back?Ron wrote:Sebas, are you still working on the app?

You'd have to join with a different account. Google sends the update to all the devices that you have connected to the account you joined the beta program with.Ingmar wrote:Is it possible to become a beta tester with a separate device? I use the same google account... or do i need to create an extra Google account then? Because i would like to use my old phone for beta testing to help you, but want my primary phone with stable versions only.

Re: Android app
I also have the problem with the dimmers, is doesn't recognize the on/off proparly, is switches are going back to off in the interface when you turn them on.
Also is seems that the https function isn't working. I also joined the beta program for dromotica but I don't see it in play store, do I have to accept something to get the beta updates? (you already aproved the request).

Re: Android app
I'll fix that dimmer problem. Seems to be an old bug that popped-up (again). I've ordered myself a dimmer that should arrive in a few days. That way I can test it myself.Blueone wrote:I also have the problem with the dimmers, is doesn't recognize the on/off proparly, is switches are going back to off in the interface when you turn them on.

When you're in the group you should get a notification from Google Play that there is an update available for the app. Works just like with the regular updates. Maybe you'll receive it the next time when I upload an beta version.

Re: Android app
I've uploaded a new version to the Play store on Saturday. You should have that by now.
The dimmer problem is fixed in that version. Also remote access using https is working fine for me using v1.1811 of Domoticz.
