Generic protocol to send distance measurement?

Hi everyone,
i find some information how to build a temperature/humidity sensor with arduino or similar µC to be read by RFXCOM.
I wonder if is there a device (RFXCOM compatible) to send distance measurement.

Indeed i would like to send the deep of my water tank
Of course i can use a virtual temperature sensor to transform it into distance sensor but i would like to avoid it.

Moreover is there any generic protocol to send information to domoticz by RFXCOM?
