Fibaro 213 - Not a MULTILEVEL device!

Post by hamish »

Much knashing of teeth...

I have a Fibaro 223 (Double switch 2) which seems to work fine...

Today I installed a Single switch 2 (FIbaro 213) and at first it looked fine... The usual crap experience trying to pair the damn thing. But eventually it took (I think it's overly sensitive to the timing with the 3 hits on S1 to include - Shame there's no damn LED that actually works on the stupid thing).

Anyway... It's included... But Domoticz in it's wisdom can't switch it on and off... If I go into the OZE console, that can switch on/off no problems. But neither of the two switches presented by Domoticz will do squat.

Looking at the OZW logs reveals why... For some reason DOmoticz is trying to treat it as what looks like a dimmer.. e.g.

Code: Select all

Which works... Anyone know why DOmoticz is fixated on using command multilevel on the 213? I can't see anywhere to change it in Domoticz that isn't relevant to OZW...

Don't know if it helps... restart Domoticz...

The issue was mentioned in several other threads.

Ok Ok back it up..
Is this the Fibaro FGS 213 - Gen5 ?
Single switch 1x1.8kw?

I have just started with the whole concept of home automation and have run into a wall with 4xFGS 213... (got 2xwall plugs from fibaro that works 100%).

My experience is that the on/off commands do not work at all, but readings of on/off work (if I go to the physical switch on the wall and use it, domoticz can read it perfectly within seconds). Also usage-kw readings seem to work.

Are you saying it is these specific switches that is being controlled wrong? I am actually close to throwing the whole zwave concept out, I've used tellstick stuff in the past so I am used to random effects of "oh, it didnt work this time".

I cant say I understand how you even got your logs, but is there any way to resolve this? Manual workaround or not, anything but throwing the fgs213's in the trashcan would be nice.

do you have controller added to all groups correctly?

I have FGS 213 too and no issues with that.
