Alexa or Google Home with Domoticz

Post by rgroothuis »

Does anybody tried to connect the Amazone Alexa or the Google Home device with Domoticz so that you can control Domoticz via voice commands? if so, how have you done this using which device? And what are you experiences? Is it easy to say (and implement) "Living Room Lights On" so that the lights are going ON? Looking forward to some feedback :-)

And how do you control the switches in Domoticz? Can you say the names of the Domoticz switches to Alexa?

and yes: i can say turn on or off lamp xyz. I did have to give all the devices that I wanted to use an english-like name in the description of that device.
so dutch will stay dutch, but alexa also knows the english names
or set temperature to ... in the living room.

good luck with the read. don't hesitate to ask for help or info
