Noob temperature script

I'm using a mysensors temperature sensor and for whatever reason, it seems that the temperature value comes in wrong and I'm getting lots of notifications. I was hoping to write a script that would only notify me at the temp has been above a certain temp for a specified time. I can't figure out how to do any of this. Thanks for your help.
