How can I tell if I have RFX433 device at Home(newbee ?)

Well, I am totally new here
I am attracted to Domoticz because I acquired several Sonoff devices and was successful of controlling them with Domoticz http.
I am also successful using Pilot on iphone to control Sonoff devices through Domoticz.

Now I am wondering if I can include some of my other RF controlled and if that is worth me to invest in an RFX433 hub, I understand RFXCOM makes one and its about $110 US. Because its a USB device, I suppose I can plug it in a Ubuntu server running on an old PC.

More importantly, I'd like to know some of 7,8 year old RF devices will be able to take advantage of Domoticz and RFX433 hub. I have:

3 7-8 year old RF switches using RF remote controls.
Water recirculator pump that takes RF remote
20 year old garage opener
Gate opener, 2016 vintage

Obviously TV controls are infrared and won't take Domoticz

You need to do some homework - collect all the manufacturers / models /model numbers of all your devices - then have a look at the wiki - http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Hardware, look on the RFXCom website and then search the forum. If you can't find your devices listed, then ask on the forum, but you will need to give enough information as the same device can be sold under different names / models.

RF control can be on different frequencies 313MHz, 866MHz not just 433MHz depending on where you are in the world, so you may need a different frequency hub.

You best chances are with rflink.. it supports some very old devices, can learn signals and we add support for unsupported devices quickly

You can start by looking on the label on your remote controls for your various devices.
You want to ensure it says 433MHz somewhere on it, usually on a sticker on the back.

For info, our Byron Doorbell is supported, our Byron / HomeEasy UK sockets are supported, we have several PIR and door contacts that we specifically bought because they are supported. Our Oregon Scientific weather station transmitters are supported.

However - we have some Temperature sensors that are 433MHz but are not supported. But RFXComm are quite good at adding support if you provide them with the information they need.

I personally have no experience with RFLink, but if the developer says they will quickly add support, I have no reason to doubt them.... and I'm off to go and read up everything I can about it now.

EDIT: I really wish I had known about RFLink when I was shopping around and ended up first with the Tellstick (v1, send only) and then RFXComm! RFLink looks much much more capable - and being able to receive multiple frequencies would be awesome!

I was able to find out those rf socket switches mfg, and lo and behold, they are still in production and it is 433mhz. However, it is not on the hardware list. Does it mean it won't work? Anyone had them?

Rfxcom works great for me. My colleague got RFlink and it works fine as well. RFlink is cheaper by lots.

Thats a Ningbo device.. Ningbo is supported by RFLink
