Present your smart home!

Post by Fainted »

Hi guys!

I was thinking it would be nice to hear about what everyone is using in their smart home and how you did it! What stuff are you using, what scripts, what smart solutions are we using?

I begin :)

Gadgets
Raspberry PI
Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5
Fibaro Wall Plug 2
Fibaro Motion Sensor
Fibaro Smoke Sensor
Fibaro Flood sensor
Domitech Z-Wave Smart LED
TKB TZ67G - Wall plug
Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5
Aeotec MultiSensor 6
Everspring AN145
Telldus Sensor Switch Magnetic
Google Chromcast
Sony SRS X77
B&O - S3
JBL Go
D-link DCS 5000 - Camera
D-link DCS 930- Camera
Lenovo 10" tablet next to my front door for see temperatures, put on music and to put on the alarm
Lenovo 7" tablet in kitchen for see temperatures, put on music and watch recipies in chrome browser

Smart Stuff

Window lights on and off when sunrise/sunset using a scenario

Motion triggered light when motion is detected set light on, also using different % of light for different hours through blocky

Alarm - when armed away, I use an dummy selectror which sends a http command to set camera position 1 for D-link 5000 (position 1 is looking into the room, position 2 is against a wall.) And if armed away and motion or door opens send e mail and set dummy switch alarm on. Which send an http command via logitech media server to google chromecast which plays an playlist with siren sound, just an mp3 file on B&o S3.
Also using a wall plug to set D-link 930 on and of when armed away/disarmed, don't want the camera to be on when i'm at home.
Added one feature - Now when alarm is active all the light in the house blinks, did a blocky: if alarm on - set lamp 1 on efter 1 second and off after 5 and on after 10 and so on, works fine

Washer ready - using a fibaro wall plug with energy meter, and using script and user variable to measure energy consumption to get an e-mail when washer is ready, our washer in domwn in the basemant so it's nice no to have to run down and check viewtopic.php?f=23&t=253&start=40

Coffe ready Using a fibaro switch with energy consumption and a dummy switch and blocky script to send an e-mail to my girlfriends in the mornings when the coffe is ready. I'm always put on it when she's still in bed and she gets happy when she knows the coffe is ready and get a nice text from me, i change the text sometimes :)

Play Music When motion detected in the mornings play radio on B&O thorugh chromecast and logitech media server, using a dummy switch which sends an http command to logitech. When motion detected in washing room, play music on JBL Go thorugh logitech meda server and when my front door opens between 17.00 - 17.30 play mucis in kitchen on Sony X77, chromcast enebled device so using logitech there as well.

Fire - Using Fibaro smoke sensor to send email if water detected

Water Using fibaro flood sensor to send email if water detected

I think that was all for now, let us hear about your projects!

Hi

Do you mind share how you setup your Alarm or/and Play music features? Looking for the smiliar setup, when motion detected and alarm is on = play siren on the chromecast with the help of LMS.

Gadgets
Raspberry Pi
Aeotec Zwave Stick
Fibaro Wall plug
2x Greenwave wall plug
3x Fibaro Dimmer 2
Fibaro Smoke Detector
Fibaro RGBW Switch
2x Door sensor with Temparture and LUX sensor, I think it's Aeotec also.
Toon

ESP8266
Buzzer
RFID Reader
Sirene

3x IP Camera
Raspberry Pi with Kodi

Smart stuff
- Switch lights on/off determined by the fact if I'm home, and it's dark (Using sunrise/sunset times)
- Controlling my Toon, also determined by the fact if I'm home or not.
- Controlling lights with a different scene when I start a movie on my Kodi.
- Let Domoticz know that I'm sleeping with a wall plug that is attached to my phone charger next to my bed. When I'm charing my phone, I'm sleeping, so no lights can go on, and the heating must go to my sleep program, and my alarm is activated.
- Most complicated: Created an alarm. It's activated when I leave home, or when I'm asleep. If one of my doors is opened while alarm is activated, a buzzer is going of for 15 seconds. When I present a RFID chip to my RFID reader, the alarm is cancelled. But if I don't within this 15 seconds, all lights go on (with my RGBW LED strip on the "LPD" program), the sirene will be activated, and I receive a notification on my phone.

I created a dummy switch in domoticz called siren kitchen, then edited the switch so when it turns on it sends an http command via logitech media server with Ip address (or MAC) of the player in my kitchen, see more info on the http command in the link below. I also use a blocky event so if alarm status is arm away and if motion detected then set siren kitchen on.
http://tutoriels.domotique-store.fr/con ... -http.html

The http command looks something like this
http://100.10.1.201:9000/status.html?p0 ... y&p2=siren

Thanks. I have a bit hard time to grip this.. the http command, is the ipadress for your media server? if so, what "control" the file to be played on the chromecast? Is the ipadress for the chromecast - how is path to the file recognized? Realizing im also having trouble to explain this in a proper manner. The content is, there are two ipadress (chromecast/LMS) and i dont understand how they are connecting.

First ip of the logitech media server, then change PLAYLISTNAME to the name of your playlist and then IPADDRESSPLAYER, ip address or MAC address to the player (chromecast)

http://IP:9002/status.html?p0=playlist& ... RESSPLAYER

Thanks really appreciate your help, the command works now but.. the output goes to my squeezebox unit, i tried both ipadress and mac adress to the chromecast but still the sound comes to my squeezebox. Really strange, like "p3" dosen't apply proper.

Hi,

I'm using a Synology NAS and so far so good, mostly Z-wave, HUE and Evohome as my programming skills are non existent.

Here is a picture of the HW interface I have done, very simple, just buy a smart case for your tablet, cut the cover off with and screw the back to theh wall. Then just clip the tablet and run Imperihome on it with a few Tasker mods (found on this forum) to automatically switch on and off.

@Egregius
Interested in your zone thermostat. How do you controller it? Different timers per room?
What about if you wish to temporarily override the target temperature?

Also, 6x Fibaro motion. How long have you had them running straight without any issue?

It think you need to scale this one, to where you live.
If you fully automated the South Tower in Brussel, it's pretty cheap.
If you used it for your caravan, it's pretty expensive

I think I live in a normal Flemish house, 3 floors, 3 bedrooms etc. Everything is in Domoticz, every light, every room I want secured, heating,...

My heating is controlled by pass2php, search the forum and/or look at my Github for that.
Almost all material is bought in May/June 2015. Never had issues with the Fibaro motion sensors, except one or two batteries replaced (in total). I must add to that that I only use them as motion sensor and have disabled temp and lux.
