Connecting RFXTRX433E to Raspberry Pi

Hi,

I know this is probably a stupid question but ...

How do you connect the RfxTrx433E to the Raspberry Pi?

Is there a special USB cable? (If so I have lost it.)

I have powered the 'Pi from an external supply to free up the USB port for the connection, but I do not appear to have any power for the RfxTrx.

Have I completely lost it (i.e. mind and cable)? I'm sure I have done it before but whatever I did has completely gone out of my mind.

It's using a standard USB cable, type A to B (mini USB).

Why do you need to free up usb port? 1 usb mini to power your pi and 4 regular ports to connect/power usb devices.
