Dear developers,
I would really appreciate if it would be possible to configure a (virtual) switch to show a confirmation request on using in the app or on the web page ("Do you really want to turn on XYZ ?")
I am asking because If you e.g. have a switch to turn a siren on or off manually you would like to prevent turning it on by mistake.
Thank you and best regards.

Re: Confirmation on (virtual) switch
does the protection (EDIT-Protect tickle) is not enough?
the password is setted in the settings page

Re: Confirmation on (virtual) switch
Dear Emme,
thank you. Your suggestion is indeed a possible solution but (in my case) it needs about 10 secs on the Android app until the password windows pops up (inside WLAN!).
I would better prefer a simple confirmation popup without asking for a password.
Best regards

Re: Confirmation on (virtual) switch
that is NOT normal....
I get the popup windows almost immediately.. both from my domoticz app.. or webpage
Check if there are event scripts that takes longer to execute.... and another good thing to do is to check the CPU usage (add motherboard sensor hardware)

Re: Confirmation on (virtual) switch
Well, I have now played around with the "protection" setting but I must say, that this is not what I was suggesting.
I would prefer to have just a simple confirmation on a switch, even better for a specified action (e.g. confirmation upon switching ON only).
Maybe it would be possible to integrate kind of a confirmation checkbox and an action selection field afterwards (switching ON, switching OFF, switching ON or OFF)...
That would be great!
Thank you.

Re: Confirmation on (virtual) switch
I ran into the same problem on my floorplan
For the switches 'away' and 'sleep' I created a second layer that needs confirmation.
Before that, if I accidentally pushed the away button everything switched of, now I can cancel it.
You could ofcourse consider building your own interface on top of Domoticz, it's fun and it gives you Domoticz EXACTLY like you wan't it
