x10 Door sensors problems and upgrade

Hello,
currently I am using Domoticz with different hardwares and protocols.
Domoticz itself is working great but I noticed that my security devices (derived from a SC9000 alarm system) and my CM15A is ok for lights but it is unreliable for alarm.

My door sensors and motion sensors sometime does not send the real status (you open a door, it sends the Alarm event but despite you close the door sometimes it will not turn back to normal status).

So I am thinking to switch to other hardware and protocols....and I want them to be cheap

I am evaluating to buy a Z wave USB dongle (I am on Raspberry PI 3) but it seems that door and other sensors are not so cheap (for Europe it is about 40/50 Euros each).

Is there any other hardware I can move too?

Well ZWave stuff is indeed not that cheap but most of it works pretty well.
If you want it really cheap have a look at the Xiaomi gateway. There are a few topics about it on the forum.
